Amazing products

Absolutely amazing quality from ordering to installation 5star

Not easy device to work with

Don’t purchase

Ubiquiti is the only way to go

They provide enterprise level tools at an affordable cost. No license fees annually. If you want to up the level of your home or small office network, ubiquiti it the way to go. They make you feel like your a network engineer, but you can just be someone who never touched a network, they make it that easy

Nuked

Never had a router failure that a restart did not fix. Excellent before this. Gateway config failures are all over support forums and reddit

Convenient, albeit limited, front-end to controller

This app does probably 99% of what you need to interact with the controller after initial setup, making it quite convenient. No remembering the IP/port/password necessary. The UI is convoluted, but quite similar to the web UI of the controller.

Alert and notification issues

Still having alert and notification issues, most other complaints have cleared up.

What about fixing this Dual-WAN mess?

The Dual-WAN feature is marketed in a few of the Cloud Gateway devices. And I bought a couple of different units for a couple of differing situations. The Dual-WAN is troublesome to say the least and it’s a PITA to literally everyone. Look at Reddit and Facebook pages stating… only use failover when load balancing is touted as a feature. Some state..: doesn’t work. And getting either of these scenarios to work is not easy at all and frankly hardly works when you think you got it. UBNT has made other features easier to use, easier to enable or implement, but this one lags behind dramatically in actually working by the 10th or 20th try and why do so many Net-Admins say… just use failover. Seems like some work/six sigma could be focused here. The age of dual WANs is here and I’d hoped that the marketed feature would be a bit more baked before it was rolled out.

Best visibility for entire IT infrastructure

UniFi has truly changed how quickly we can access our equipment, determine if there is an issue and resolve it if there happens to be one. Very rare if there is.

Amazing app and features.

Coming from Eero products I was shocked at how much control Unifi gives you without any additional charges. Amazing app.

Loving this!

A great piece of kit

Terrible Experience

I am using both the Android and iOS. They behave differently. Getting my gear online had me banging my head for hours.

Notifications are still not working

Notifications are still not working when rules are set. technical support doesn’t provide very good assistance when troubleshooting certain issues, and takes about a week to get an answer to an already produced troubleshooting step. those details can be reviewed by QA to protect the privacy of the issue and not be used as an exploit.

Update: after factory resets and restoring, notifications are still not working. This is getting tiring, these products used to work. It’s upsetting to see such a great product because e waste so quickly.

I’d really enjoy seeing this actually work as intended. I’ll fix the reviews when that happens. Something tells me these devs or engineers are the ones retaliating or are responsible for this not working correctly after several patches.

Initial review

Relatively easy to set up. Added some hardware. AP it saw and adopted no problem. Added two cameras. One it saw and adopted no problem. The second exact same camera it didn’t see or adopted. Had to reset the switch and it saw the second and adopted. All three devices worked great for two days. After two days the gateway disconnected and would not reconnect. AP continues to work. Cameras did not. Screen on the gateway said to contact Unify support. All it said on my phone is it couldn’t connect. Instead I unplugged and replugged. It started working again. This is used in a 2nd home so I hope Support can get it going if it goes down when no one is here. Would be a long trip to come back to unplug to reset and reset. We’ll see if this continues to happen.

Amazing Tool!

Great app, thanks to everyone involved in it.

Look at that changelog! 😍

Thank you Unifi dev/app team for the detailed changelog for an app update! I love you for this, and I absolutely love detailed changelogs, it’s like you really know what changed and why it was necessary, and also transparent in saying what changed - which is sooo much better than other devs who release mysterious app updates that only say cutesy cheeky things that mean less than nothing.

The best Enterprise system out there

New update = fail

Updated to latest for iOS and can no longer access my UDM. WTH….

WAN 2 benchmark ne fonctionne pas bien

La mesure du débit de la liaison wan 2 ne fonctionne pas correctement. Lorsqu’on teste la vitesse de la liaison 2 il ne se passe rien et il teste la liaison 1.

Works

It’s fine. Crashes infrequently. Looks slick. Weirdly organised, and not intuitive - particularly after using the legacy (?) Web interface. Also lacks features that can only be found in the web interface. Either call it “Lite”, or sync them up, please. But it’s fine for the basics.
