Great Service

Always on time

Need assistance with something today

I saw a physician virtually earlier today and she prescribed an antibiotic and was going to send it to my pharmacy. They have not received it. There is absolutely no way to follow up on this on a Sunday, apparently. I am leaving town in the morning, so I am faced with having to go to a physical clinic and pay for another clinic visit so that I can get the prescription that I need before I leave town. I have been on with three or four virtual chat assistance who were not helpful and called the United healthcare number and there was no one I could talk to today

Nothing loads

Cost estimates and plan spending just spin. Good to get insurance card but nothing else seems to ever work.

Annoying pop-up

Disrupted writing a message to the chatbot with this prompt to review.

Handy tools and the face recognition to sign on is a game changer!

Love the scanner!!

Unauthorized plan changes

I was not notified about plan changes nor did I approve any plan changes from my policy held last year that carried over to this year. I was forced to switch from a PPO to an HMO, ultimately causing me more monthly out of pocket expenses due to now having to get a “Referral” to my Pain Management Dr that I have seen for the last 5 years. Now I have to see my PCP to write a referral every 6 months because I was forcefully Switched to an HMO without my knowledge or consent from a PPO which previously required no referral. They have also increased my co-pays to see an “In Network” Pain Management specialist (same specialist I’ve seen for the last 5 years) per visit without prior notification of this. I have also seen a quantifiable increase in the cost of medication, as well as a substantial increase in the number of medications they are requiring a pre-authorization for as well as increased cost to covered medications making many of them cost prohibitive. When on a fixed income due to disability you should have some relief when it comes to costs of PCP visits, Specialist visits and access to reasonable cost to medications, but since I’m on Medicare/Disability and not a “Commercial Insurance” plan I just have to accept it. Yet they choose to make plan changes without prior notification nor consent. The only way I found out that changes to co-pays had increased was when I show up to a regular scheduled appointment with your doctor/specialist that you’ve seen for the past 5 years only to be told that not only has your co-pay increased per visit but we can’t see you for your scheduled appointment because your insurance company has changed your policy and now requires you to receive a referral from your PCP before being seen. Once you receive your referral they will then reschedule your appointment and be able to accommodate me at that point. Mind you it’s almost a 70 mile round trip to get to and from the specialist (the same specialist I’ve seen for the last 5 years) that I have to do monthly but now they can’t see me because they have to have that referral in hand before they can even set me an appointment. Now I have to schedule an appointment with my PCP, hope and pray I can get in on short notice just to get a referral (a referral I was never notified I would be required to have prior to seeing the same specialist that just last month there was no issue with seeing) rescheduling an appointment with the Pain Management specialist with hopes they too can get me back in on short notice while having to make yet another 70 mile round trip for a visit that I should have already been done with, all the while hoping I can get all of this done before medication runs out.

Not to mention that every time you reach out via chat you are always given conflicting information. There is no consistency between one agent and the next. When inquiring about a potential medication one agent quoted me $XXX.XX for said medication. Upon inquiring about cost and coverage, I was then told to call a 3rd party Pharmacy (that they provided the # for) to be quoted a price that was more than $90.00 less. Due to the discrepancy I reinitiated a text chat with another agent to reconfirm what I’d been told, both by the previous agent but also the 3rd party pharmacy I was asked to call by UHC and I was given completely different information about price and coverage (the discrepancy wasn’t a small one) it was enough to raise serious questions and concerns.

Completely unacceptable and disappointing, I will be considering filing a complaint with the State Department as well as reconsidering my insurance company options when that time comes in a few months.

How can you put your faith and trust in a company who makes changes to your policy coverage without notification or consent, can’t give consistent information from one agent to the next within a 30 min time span, tells you to call a 3rd party pharmacy for a price that is more tan $XXX,XX different and then tells you that policy changes will “Typically” be made aware to you prior to the change but not always.

They continue to raise the cost of everything from your Dr visits to the cost of your medication as well continually deny coverage of more and more medication from one day to the next and expect that you’ll just lay down and accept it. For someone on disability and a fixed income, just lying down and accepting the increases in costs and lack of covered medications that you were never notified about really isn’t an option. Not only have they increased ALL of my co-pays ( Dr’s, Specialists and Medications) but they have increased the number of medications that they require pre-authorization for or just flat out deny coverage of the medication altogether.

Please BE CAREFUL and take CAUTION when considering a policy with UHC as I have been treated EXTREMELY poorly and the changes they’ve made to my pre-existing policy form one year to the next without authorization, consent or prior notification may be questionable as far as legality wise.

Benefit reward card

My benefit reward card never works. I don’t know what the uses of it! This sucks.

utc

my card says there is a zero balance, but I have only used this card once for $34 and it’s saying a zero balance. I have been trying to find a place to ask a question. I can’t find any place for that. And I’m really frustrated and it’s Saturday so nothing I can do about it except to try to use it and see if it goes through.

Muy práctico

La verdad que es muy fácil de utilizar y mantener informada tienes toda la información que necesitas y si no estás segura o no entiendes algo puedes llamar y te atienden con mucha amabilidad

FUBAR

This program has not worked properly since it was first launched. This time it used my rewards account even though they qualified under my OTC account. At the store the one item I wanted, K-Tape , came up as Kotex when scanned. After several scanning attempts and trying to enter the UPC code unsuccessfully I tried another box which came up the right item. The other 2 items I had I assumed would not qualify but did and were subtracted from my Rewards account. I also blocked my Rewards from being used on the app but that too was unsuccessful.

Denial of CGM

I was denied repeatedly for the Dexcom 7 CGM THAT I WAS PREVIOUSLY receiving. It is unfair! I plan to switch supplement insurance as soon as enrollment begins!

No help

Fox rehabilitation is out of network. Many doctors listed on UnitedHealth under fine care. Are not providers when I call them.

Excelente

Es la primera vez que tengo servicio médico 🙏🏼espero sea una muy buena decisión

FSAFiling

Very wonky. Keeps blowing me out when trying to access photos for receipt upload. Not at all intuitive to use

Slow to no response

Really time wasting, incorrect information from agents on the other side of the globe.

Not complete

So according to this app, the reward section is the only section that does not work properly. Whenever I click into that section the app freezes up. I have deleted the app several times and reinstalled it and the same thing continues to happen.

Debo

It’s very easy to maneuver around this app and it supplies information easily

Extra help

The money really comes in handy! Sometimes I only have to pay $25 out of pocket!!

Easy Peezy

Easiest app out there!
