Notification Abuse
This app recently started abusing notifications to send spam. Not cool. Will be uninstalling and avoiding yellow cab from now on.
Not helpful
Doesn’t let you adjust tips after the fact, and doesn’t let you opt out of promotional notifications, which mean you have to turn off notifications entirely which is super annoying for a taxi / ride share app.
Consistently great service
Yellow cab drivers have been consistently punctual when I prebook and swift to arrive when I book for immediate pick-up. The drivers are always polite and the app makes prebooking and payment incredibly easy.

Had to catch 5:30am flight to YVR. Got cab at 4:20am. Got there by 4:45am. Easy!
No real wheelchair taxi
I booked wheelchair taxi, came a normal taxi, I had to cancel them, by call the phone centre.

The map?
The map showing where the taxi is defaults to a North American view, which is useless for seeing taxi location in a city. You can zoom but it takes effort. I end up using the web link version which has a sensible map. Maybe I’m missing something?
Needs some immediate changes
The tip option is terrible, you can’t adjust the tip after the trip ends and if you have an automatic tip option for standard under $10 rides, it automatically adds it to a bigger trip. My cab drivers are often genuine and I want to thank them not insult them. You need to make the tip adjustable after the trip before it charges your card

Inaccurate Charge
I will be deleting this app because it charged me part-way through my journey, an amount almost double that reflected on the meter at the time. When I got to my destination, the total fare was less than that the app charged me, plus the app had added a tip without my consent. The driver was as helpful as he could be, but he could not undo the charge, nor could the dispatch person. I am waiting for a callback from the management. The driver told me this was not the first time that the app had miscalculated and charged a customer without their approval.

Unresolved issues
This app can’t even book you a ride at a later date unless there’s cabs available for the destination right now. I went to book a trip for tomorrow morning, entered the destination/pick up address, and before I can indicate the future time, it tells me no one is currently available and goes back to step 1. Couldn’t make to do this super basic thing.
That’s only the most glaring problem with the app, it seriously needs work. I assume some of the 5-star reviews for this are fake.

Reliable!
Way better than any other ride share out there! Highly recommend using this. Reliable and easy to use. I had a very early flight and non of the ride shares hooked me up with a driver, I then in desperation downloaded this app to give a try and Oh Boy! What a gem! What a found! I got a ride in minutes and caught my flight on time! Now using it all the time when I need a ride.

Terrible App.
Have to ASK drivers to “end trip” or they will drive around after - charging you more so they can have a “break”. Drivers pretend they don’t know certain roads are closed that have been closed for weeks. App crashes in-route basically every time, forcing you to tip even if it was a really rude driver (of which there are many).
