Purchase button too low

Can’t purchase a ticket because it’s too low in the app. My phone thinks I’m trying to access some shortcut at the bottom of my phone and it won’t initiate the purchase.

Robbing the working man, as usual.

Awful app and no support available. Any attempt to contact customer service results in an infinite loop of automated call prompts, circling you back to the main prompt.

I save my passwords in an encrypted vault. Ventra randomly says my password is incorrect after a few months. I attempt to change it, but the reset emails never arrive.

Also, you can’t transfer cards from Google Wallet to Apple Wallet if you get a new phone. I have a large amount of money on an account that Ventra maliciously locks me out of.

State run theft, sold off to Google. Bunch of crooks. They will leave you stranded. Vote ‘em out!

Purchase button

Can someone please fix the the purchase button??

Purchase button fail.

Can’t complete purchase because the purchase button doesn’t work.

Favorites function STILL BROKEN

Update: New release of app, Favorites functionality STILL BROKEN.
Conclusion: The Ventra app is coded, tested, and managed by clowns, not professionals.

—————
Favorites function is totally broken. Has been for MONTHS. Ventra does nothing. Can’t see any arrival information for a stop that is a favorite; you have to look the line/stop up every time. Works fine if not looking at favorites. So there effectively is no favorites function, and Ventra is too dysfunctional to do ANYTHING about it.

Include the track numbers for METRA!

Commuters would benefit greatly from the app including what track/platform each Metra train is on, at least for departures from Chicago Union Station, including live updates! Unless you’re on the same exact train each day, not only do you have to find out which is the train (number) you need to take, but then you also have to wait until you get to the station and find on the screens which track it will be on. Even if you do take the same train, at times if there are delays or changes, and trains have to go on a different track, that could be updated in the app instead of having to wait for announcements.

Dangerously inaccurate

In concept this app works great. In reality it regularly leaves me stranded and with inaccurate info about when public transportation will arrive. Which during daylite hours is fine but at night actively endangers the user with false information

They have to make it this bad on purpose

Good luck trying to find out if the train is coming, delayed or basically any information whatsoever on anything on this app… also there is a good chance it just wont open.

Live Updates!

It’s 2026. There is a Metra Train Tracker, use the API and hook it into this app’s functionality. The static departure times from stations is inexcusable. If a train is late, update the time. period. Alas, it’s the only authorized app, so like most things these days, why spend money on a captive audience? Bad user experience be damned.

Can’t Purchase Metra Ticket

The purchase function when trying to purchase a metra ticket does not function. After choosing checkout and adding my number of ticket the purchase button does nothing.

“Good” under the guise of bare minimum

Sure, Chicago has one of the “best” public transportation systems in the US. But why are we limiting ourselves to what the standard of US transportation is considered? You’re a slave under the circumstances that you’re forced to live under. How much in taxes are you paying? What improvements to the city are you seeing with such a significant tax rate that we’re paying?

Amazing customer service

The app is easy ish to use but I’ve had some issues with the digital card. Called the customer service, Jackie and Dustin helped me with my issue and resolved it right away. I have not had a customer service that’s as amazing as them in a really long time. Appreciate their help so very much!

Useless app

Convoluted, confusing, misleading app. Poorly designed and maintained. And it actually costs more to use the app than to purchase a physical ticket. And if that’s not enough, once you purchase a metra ticket, the app doesn’t allow you to purchase a cta or other ticket. Way to go designers/programmers of this garbage.

Completely Useless and Unnecessary

We downloaded the app and found no information on how to use it or what ticket to buy. Bought a day pass and found it didn’t work for the turnstile. Was told by attendant to use a machine instead. Why download the app if I have to use a physical machine? It makes no sense for tourist especially. Come on guys..

Not functional

It’s a pitty we have to use this mediocre app just to be apple to use public transit and have a card on apple wallet.. other PTO don’t require you to go through a third party app for that, especially when the app doesn’t work, just a waist of time and data. Great Job CTA !

Needs serious accessibility work

You can do only some of the things you need to, and will run into limitations. Ones I have hit: 1) went through the reset password process, except that it never sent me an email. This must be a backend issue. I talked with Support on the phone who said they would send me an email, but it never came through. Then I tried again a few few days later and it magically appeared. 2) while attempting to purchase tickets on the app (something you think they would want to make as easy as possible) the purchase button is tiny and in position directly under the iPhone’s bottom bar. Attempting to click the purchase button an iPhone will interpret it as a click on the bottom bar of your phone making it essentially impossible to click purchase. I thought I would just purchase a ticket online instead, but that is not possible; you can only get it on the app, at a station, or on the train. This has got to be losing Ventra money!!
