This helps with understanding your blood sugar

We are all unique to some degree in regards to what makes our blood sugar spike. The Veri app takes the data from Libre3 and presents it beautifully with real information about what is going on. You do have to track your food manually but it then gives you data that you can understand and act on. Their lessons are also helpful for learning about metabolic health.

Save your money

Was very disappointed with this app. It uses the Freestyle Libre 3 cgm monitor and you have to use that devices app continuously, Veri the imports from that app. Veri does little more that Fresstyle Libre’s app already does. Yes, it gives you a score for each meal you input but i never got below an 8 out of 10, which I find very hard to believe consider times when I ate sugary or starchy foods. Save your money and just find a source to buy the cgm from. If you tell your doctor you are wanting to do research on your blood sugar, they can often help you order one at cost or through your insurance.

Hi there, Thank you so much for sharing your experience here, though I am really sorry to hear that you have not had a helpful experience with Veri. The Veri app offers a number of additional features compared with Libre's free app. Veri is designed to bring all of your exercise, sleep and nutrition data in one place, so you can understand how your glucose reactions are affected by each of these pillars of health. The Metabolic Health Score is designed as your North Star metric, and Stages of the Veri Program are designed so that you can focus on whichever piece of the puzzle will have the greatest effect on your health. It sounds as though you probably already have a very nutritious diet, which is great! If you would like to receive meal scores based on your glucose response ONLY (i.e. not taking food quality into account) you can do so by not entering individual ingredients into your meals. We are always keen to hear from our users on where/ how you think we could improve. If you have any further feedback or points that you'd like to discuss, please do reach out to our Customer Support team on care@veri.co or via the in-app chat service. We wish you all the best on your health journey! Team Veri

So happy with this app!

I have really enjoyed using this app. It has helped me be really mindful of what I put in my body and how keeping active + a good night's sleep really impacts my body. Customer service is the reason why I am posting this review because they have provided swift responses and have helped me out with a CGM replacement when I needed one. I was worried until I heard back from them! Overall the app has been wonderful. Only issue i've been having is that it doesn't recognize the "trend" of me wearing my CGM and therefore doesn't give me a habit score for my metabolic health.

We are so pleased to hear that Veri has been helpful for you to better understand the habits that will have a positive impact on your metabolic health overall. We love to hear that you have had a positive experience with our wonderful Customer Support team as well :) Regarding your Metabolic Health Score - as long as you have at least 7 days' worth of glucose data in Veri, at least one meal logged per day and have completed the lessons of Stage 1 of the Veri Program, your Health Score should populate automatically. If you are not seeing a Health Score, please contact our team who will be happy to help troubleshoot with you. Here's to you taking ownership of your health! Team Veri

Game Changer

As prediabetic insulin resistant, I have been trying to get control of my blood sugar levels for years. I did a lot of finger pricking. But cgm and Veri have been eye opening so far. I’m just starting Stage 2 and I’m excited to keep learning about my individual response to foods sleep and activities and finally start making positive changes.

Great support!

I’m now on my 4th sensor and have learned so much about my metabolic health using the Veri App. The changes I’ve made using the data have helped me to not only feel better, but to start losing weight as well!
I’ve had several issues with the app during my time using, but these were all easily resolved by contacting support through the app. The support feature is easy to use. My issues all required a person to get involved - I was contacted quickly and my issue resolved quickly.

Great help to improve and maintain my health

The Veri program was instrumental in helping me to understand how various foods and activity affect my health and sugar levels. I was suprised at how foods I though would be unhealthy were actually ok in moderation and when paired with let’s say protein or exercise they were fine to eat.

I have lost 10 pounds in 6 weeks by watching what I eat and how it affects my own body via the app. I am not on a diet per se I am on a program to eat and do the right things for my own personal bodies reactions that are monitored and measured real time by Veri. It is eye opening to see in real time and to track the history over time which enables me to make the proper decisions for my own personal situation. Extremely happy with Veri and the results it has provide for me

Amazing insight into your metabolism

I’ve used Veri service for about a week and learned a ton about my body and metabolism. I’m healthy, thankfully, so got this to learn how to stay that way. Some of my food assumptions were wrong. Everyone will benefit from this personalized knowledge. With diabetes on the rise I can’t believe these CGMs are not given for free to everyone

Helpful guide

I’ve started using a Freestyle Libre 2 sensor to try and gain an understanding of how my food intake, sleep (I suffer from insomnia) and lifestyle in general affect my blood glucose levels.

Initially, I was just using the LibreLink app and couldn’t make heads or tails of the data. After a couple of days, I discovered the Veri app and although it implied an extra cost on top of the already expensive CGM, I decided to go for it: best decision ever! The Veri app allows me to understand the data from my CGM and be more relaxed about changes I my blood glucose.

My only criticism so far is that I just don’t fully understand some of the evaluations of the food I eat: why are certain foods better than others in their view, particularly in light of the fact that no quantities are entered and no further details about the quality of the food? Ground beef appears to be optimal but burgers (home made!) are not. Isn’t yogurt (again, homemade) supposed to be good for my microbiome and, therefore, for my blood glucose levels?

That said, I think this is an incredibly helpful app for those people who’d like to understand the data from their CGMs but have no healthcare professionals to guide them through the process.

Love it!

I have been using Veri for about 3 weeks and really like it. First of all, customer support is amazing. I had an issue with my first CGM, and they responded quickly to help me figure out how to get it solved. They are very responsive, friendly and helpful.

Second, I love having this data, because I have learned several things about what affects my blood sugar that was counterintuitive. For example, my blood sugar gets higher in the morning with the same meal than it does, in the evening, which is opposite of what I expected.
Also, I’ve learned how exercise impacts my blood sugar, including learning that I should take a walk after every meal to lower the blood sugar sugar impact. I am very healthy, but have a lot of family issues with diabetes, so having this information helps me feel like I have more control over my health and making sure I don’t get diabetes in the future.

Waste of Money- Don’t do it.

This isn’t live data. You have to scan the sensor. Getting a hold of anyone in customer service is nearly impossible. I had a sensor that kept giving me urgent lows that didn’t come anywhere near my BG values. I took off the sensor. Then I contacted customer service, but no response. Also found out that the plan that I’m on is for 2 sensors on a payment plan of 3 months… so I’m paying 300 for 2 sensors which I used for a total of 7 days. That plan isn’t even an option when I check their site. I requested a refund. I don’t they’ll issue one, but they should because this is the worst product experience I have ever encountered. Ridiculous.

Meal score is useless

I’ve been using the app for a week. A few things that make the app confusing is that they have two numbers a glucose variability and oscillation. They both sound the same and the descriptions of each confuses rather than clarifies. Also the meal scoring is subpar. Let’s say I ate something poor and my body is getting rid of the excess glucose but then I eat something good (soon after the first meal) and my glucose is still going down from the first meal, my second meal scores poorly because there was no “stable” glucose response. But the second meal did not cause a spike in my glucose, so in fact it should receive a good meal scoring. I certainly won’t use this app again.

Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Let us explain the features in more detail. Glucose variability (as explained in the app) is measuring how much your glucose fluctuates within a given day. Glucose oscillation measures how intense the dips and spikes you experience are. You can read more about these and other measurements we use in the app, and our team is on standby to help with any questions you might have. The meal scores are calculated based on your glucose response within the given timeframe of eating the meal or in this case meals. Looking at the glucose response itself, it is not possible to detect which part of the glucose increase is due to which meal, if the meals are eaten one after another. When eating a multi-course meal, it is recommended to log everything as one to ensure the most accurate scoring. We understand that looking at the graph itself is not the full picture of how our choices impact our health, therefore we have some exciting features coming up to tackle the nuances between highly processed and high glycemic foods and those that are less processed. To gain an understanding of individual meals’ response to your glucose, it is recommended to leave 2 hours between meals to get the most accurate data. You can also pair the meals with some light exercise such as walking after to see if that has an impact on the glucose response. If you want to learn more about different glucose metrics, metabolic health, or any of our other app features, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team and we will be happy to help! To top health, Team Veri

Not worth it

The app works without too many technical problems, but it's not worth the money. You won't get too many insights from wearing a sensor, and the sensor itself isn't cheap.

Response from developer

Hi vadimandronov, thanks for your feedback. We are continuously improving our app to ensure the insights gained are useful and valuable and lead to positive long-lasting habit changes. If you are able to source the sensors yourself you can opt-in to use just the Veri app. We hope to see you again with us! Team Veri

overpriced for limited monitoring

The sensors are only provided for 4 out of 12 weeks of the subscription. i didn’t realize in advance that the app is not worth much without the sensors . it is just place to log meals and weight and activity without the sensor . it has nutritional information that is available elsewhere . The use of the sensors is helpful feedback, but the app basically rewards intermittent fasting and low carb meals . That’s it.

Product fell off once and broke once - horrible customer support

I got 2 sensors. My first fell off with a few days to go, so they sent me another, which I really appreciated. The replacement had a problem with the applicator so it never stuck in my arm. It was frustrating to have to deal with customer support again, but I did appreciate that they sent me another.

But I asked them to extend my app usage because of these problems. They agreed to, didn’t, and then charged me for another subscription. I reached out asking for them to cancel/refund within a few hours of seeing the charge and was told they would not refund me.

So no matter what happens- this company will not refund you which seems like a scam. Also, the sensor is through LibreLink which has wonderful customer support. So avoid Veri and use a different app that has a better customer support team.

Good but expensive

I’ve been using the Veri app for a couple of days now without any technical issues so far.

I’m using the Libre3 sensors and did have a few initial problems on setup as the Veri instructions are a little outdated. You do NOT need to download the LibreLink app if youalready have the LibreView 3 app - you just add the Veri ID to the Share With Practioner in the connected apps. I struggled unnecessarily for quite a while trying to link Veri with LibreLink.

I’m enjoying the app but honestly the price per month is too much for what you get - and what you DONT get, such as Veri being able to write to Apple health. Veri can only read from Health, so your sleep etc.

At €39/month I won’t be renewing as I’ve found the Libre3 app, although not as elegant, still functional enough.

If Veri brought their price inline with most other apps that charge that amount for an annual subscription then I would keep it. However if you have the funds to spare then go for it. It’s a nice app.

Missing Data

This is a nice easy to understand app that provides great insights into your health. I have two complaints though.

First is missing data. I see the data in Freestyle Libre but Veri will show a 6 hour gap with no data. Eventually Veri will catch up but it’s frustrating. This doesn’t happen frequently but it happens enough to be annoying. I’ve seen it occur about 6 times in the last 2 weeks. I’ve already reached out to Tech Support.

Second is the pricing. Remember you’re only getting 2 sensors for the 3 month subscription. So that’s a total of 1 month of sensors as each one lasts 2 weeks. That means you’ll have 2 months of your subscription where you’ll have no sensors which makes the app pretty useless. You can buy more sensors but that adds to the cost. So at face value Veri looks cheap compared to Levels or Nutrisense but once you factor in buying additional sensors the cost savings is wiped out.

Response from developer

Hi there, Thanks for the feedback! With any issues with the app, sensor or data, please reach out to our team via the in-app chat and our team will be happy to troubleshoot! There should not be any gaps in the data if the sensor is scanned at least once every 8 hours, so we hope our team has been able to resolve the issue for you! We aim to keep our pricing competitive with the market and offer a membership based on the natural usage frequency of our customers (most people want to take breaks from monitoring). For those who wish to use the CGM's continuously, we offer additional sensors at-cost. We are continuously building our app to provide as much value as possible whether or not you are currently using a CGM. To top health, Team Veri

Charged me a $20 cancellation fee

The app did not provide added value to my health goals. I wrote to Veri asking for consideration to cancel my contract after using the app for only 5 days. My contract was $25 a month. The customer service person parroted the contract terms like I was trying to get out of an apt lease and said they would release me from the contract for a charge of $20. Have never had this type of experience with an app. Much less one that adds so little value to one’s health journey.

Update: the company reached out and waived the cancellation fee.

Does not work and no one willing to assist

Product defective after one day and they take zero responsibility - just told me to contact their own manufacturer. For the one day that it did work, the app is extremely basic and does not explain anything to you - much better off using free LibreLink app (especially since when something goes wrong they just give you that mailing address to contact them to help…)

Pls remove BMI

I loved this app for nearly three months. I like that the logging of meals is ingredient focused and not about calories or micros/macros or anything that could trigger an eating disorder. Today I find that there is a new addition to monitoring health and that is BMI rating. Not only is this unnecessary to the app and system, it is UNHELPFUL for those trying to make actual sustainable changes for their health. The BMI is trash. Get educated on the origins of this outdated system and please remove it from your metrics.
