Excellent Roadside App

Ease of use is incredible. Simply put a great app.

Horrible

What is this service? I pay for this every month and the roadside tow drivers don’t come for 2-3 hours and no one replies on the live chat or picks up the customer set line.

Very nice to have

Very grateful for this app as it has helped me in my loved ones several times!

Roadside assistance

I tried to add my other vehicle I recently purchased to roadside assistance with Verizon roadside assistance and am wondering why it won’t let me add it so I’m not to happy with the service

Terrible service

I am canceling this roadside service and just stick with State Farm roadside and AAA. First of all they use foreigners that aren’t even in the USA to answer calls. You can’t understand them because if they’re accent and they can’t understand what you’re trying to explain to them. I called to have my car towed from one repair shop to another one. So I decided to not go with the other repair shop since it’s not in State Farm’s network. I called back and told them to change the drop off so a different repair shop instead. I checked the tracker and it still had the first repair shop
I chose for drop off listed. So I canceled it thinking the lady didn’t change it. I called to have them drop off it off at the new address and they said that it was going there and I told them the tracker didn’t show that so I cancelled it. Then I told them to set up a new one which they said they did but didn’t. So I went into the app to set it up myself. Well it said that the tow struck driver would be there at 11:30 but then it moved to 12:30-1:22 pm. The tow truck driver towed me he was running late and would be there. It’s almost 2 pm and he still
hasn’t showed up. He don’t get to the shop until 2:30 pm. Then it said he arrived and then it said my tow was cancelled like I had cancelled it. I waited since 11:00 to have my car told for it to be cancelled and the repair shop closes at 5:30 pm. I had to call State Farm to have them set up a tow. Not only that when I had them first tow my car to that shop two weeks ago I never received a receipt. State Farm told me they would reimburse me but I needed to give them a receipt. I called and told them I needed a detailed receipt with the vin number and everything. They told me they would have to escalate my claim and it would take 5 business days to get a receipt. That’s insane that they can’t just produce a receipt right away and email it to me. Then after a week I got the receipt and it didn’t have everything I requested on it. I submitted it to State Farm and they told me I need a receipt that shows what I’m being charged for as far as mileage, etc. I called them to let them know and they had to escalate it and I have to wait another week to get a new receipt.

Serious Communication Problems.

Head quartered in St Petersburg, Fl, an agent will answer pretty quickly, but the 5 agents that I reached all had thick accents. Made it really difficult to communicate. Once that was over, the assigned tow was cancelled twice by tow companies. Almost impossible to get a service after midnight.

After 2 hrs on the side of the interstate in the middle of a monsoon at 2am, we decided to schedule pick up for next morning. Instructions were not followed. It took a total of 4 assigned tow companies to get our tow. Ridiculous. Lack of Communication among all parties was a major problem. It took 2 1/2 days to get our car towed.

Never again!

I was stranded on the busy expressway and I called roadside assistance for a tow and the automated voicemail told me to hang up and use the app. What?? Well the app needed updating. Fine. Got on there to request a tow and it was a 2 hour wait. Not very ideal for someone stuck on the interstate with cars blowing past her at 80+ mph. Called someone else who got there in 15 minutes but it cost me, but at least me and my car were safe. Cancelled my membership and wish I could get my money back from the past 2 years of paying for nothing.

Unreliable dispatching

I requested a jump start at 2:30pm. Three hours passed, during which the first technician scheduled to arrive by 3:40 was a no-call no-show. The backup who was then dispatched— also MIA, because the ETA inched back from 4:43pm to 5:02, 5:10, 5:35– meanwhile I could see on the tracking map that the driver was twenty minutes away at a strip mall getting food. Each time I tried to “call the driver” on the app, I was connected to an Allstate Good Hands Repair Network overseas call center instead. They were no help at all unless reciting a scripted apology is helpful. I finally cancelled my request, uninstalled the app, and deleted the roadside assistance add-on from my Verizon plan.

Responder was extremely disrespectful and needs to be fired

I locked my keys in my car and when he called me, he was immediately disrespectful and rude. He gave sarcastically rude comments and was extremely impatient. It was so bad, I ended up refusing his help altogether. Please reach out to me and I’ll give you his number.

First Use Of Service

10 out of 10 would recommend I only pay five dollars a month but I have been paying for many months and have not used it but I will say for the first time I cannot complain help was prompt and quick for a Jump Start, maybe took 20 mins from me placing the request. The gentleman that helped me, Matthew very prompt quick and nice. Everyone should add this to their plan at least in the CO metro area.

HORRIBLE

They dont care they lie they wont compensate or even speak to you about the wrong they have done. Get them for what they get you dont look back!

Car Settings

The app doesn’t let you set your car model or year so when you call for assistance they bring the wrong parts.

Not Reliable.

App is Easy to use, issue is tow truck has been 38 minutes away for the last 2 hours. Tried calling the phone number they provide to the tow service and no one picked up. When you try to text and see what is wrong you get a bot. Somehow was able to get an agent on messenger. First they told me it’s 38 minutes away. After some coaxing they said the new estimate is 1 to 1.5 hours. What a nightmare. And it’s not like I am in the middle on nowhere. In the middle of the city. Worst service ever. Had it showed up on time, the shops were open -now will have to tow twice. Don’t purchase this service. Waste of money.

No receipt history!

The fact that I have to call to ask for history receipts for my towings is absurd! Horrible customer service to only to be lied to and transferred nonstop for over a month! Please add history of tows and receipts!!!

2 hour wait

First time needing the app, in the middle of town, it said 2 hours before someone could help. 2 hours. I thought maybe there was a location error and verified everything. Tried again, 2 hours. I was stuck in the middle of the lane near a busy intersection. I searched Google, found a tow service, they showed up in 20 minutes. $160 down the drain because using Verizon roadside would take 2 hours. I would have signed up with another service had I known this ahead of time. I’d like to say I was giving it another shot, but don’t want to take the chance.

Absolutely recommend this to anybody

This is by far the best roadside assistance I’ve ever used! They are quick as they can be and very friendly and kind!!

Verizon road side

Every time it’s takes freaking forever and it’s always something going wrong wrong location or can’t to job have send another person lol it’s cheap 5$ month but the service it’s what u pay for

Verizon Roadside

Okay so yea it’s cheap only like 5$ a month for roadside insurance whether it’s 10 miles towed, dead battery, keys locked inside but the catch is sometimes well most times it’ takes FOREVER for them to find someone to come help you lol😅 if it’s the middle of the night past midnight 1-4am it’s freaking impossible get a Rescuer. Gonna have wait until 6-9am and I’ve had multiple times when either the request will randomly cancel or the person cancels or one time took like 2 hours send someone he tried getting into my car for like 10-15 minutes and just gave up and left so customer service had send new driver which took like another 3 hours but when this person got there they were so prepared and professional correct tools and unlocks my car in literally like less than 2 minutes smh 🤦🏽‍♂️ once the driver went to the wrong place and it clearly had the correct address so took him another 15 get to me. My shortest ever rescue took at least an hour an half lol. It’s cheap roadside but it’s ghetto hahahaha

Horrible service

I used Roadside Service a few times in the past with pretty good service, usually not having to wait more than a couple of hours. But yesterday I got 2 flat tires after hitting a pothole.Around 10:30 am I contacted Roadside service. A tow truck arrived 2 1/4 hours later and the driver informed he couldn’t tow me because I needed a flatbed tow truck. He called for one around 1:15. After that I kept getting texts saying a truck would arrived at various times…2 hours later, 15 minute later, 5 minutes later…but no truck arrived. I called the number provided via text and was told the messages I had been getting were sent automatically by Verizon but not based upon fact or coloration with the driver. After that I was unaware to reach anyone by phone. At 3:30 pm I called a tow company that arrived an hour later and paid $130 out of pocket. Once that tow truck arrived I cancelled the Verizon Roadside Service truck which still hadn’t showed. An hour or two later I received yet another text statement the tower had been delayed but was “on the way”. I initially contacted Roadside Service and was picked up by an out-of-pocket tow computer at 4:30 pm. Roadside never showed and it was impossible to reach anyone to speak to or receive an accurate ETO. An awful experience!
