Just genuinely a trash service tell my why I had to drive to Bayonne to get from Lincoln Park to downtown JC and on top of that on my most recent ride my driver accepted eight new passengers that took my wait time to forty minutes from 20 and then drove past me when he got to the meeting point. Just a failure of a business and I really dont understand why there isn’t a limit to how far off track a driver can go.

Can’t even get a ride
I was really hoping that this was going to be a good alternative when I need to get places not easily served by bus/PATH/lightrail…but I can’t even get a ride in the app. Even though my destination is in downtown JC, it continually says it’s “Out of zone”.
Can’t access my account
Everytime i try to login with my phone number I receive a message saying i’m not registered to use this app.
Hire more drivers
There have been way too many times where there were no drivers in the area. Because of this the wait times are long and travel doesn’t seem reliable even if you leave much earlier to get an appointment on time. But it is good to have more transportation options.
Unreliable
I’ve been late to work multiple times just because I wanted a cheaper option than an Uber. There have been times where my cab was 2 minutes away just for the driver to add 1 or 2 more pickups and making me wait 15+ more minutes. They’re also extremely rude
Better than nothing
I use this app because there’s just some parts of JC that are difficult to get to from my house, but it’s awful. It will faithfully have the driver pick me up or drop me off at least 2 blocks from the locations I input, even if the driver has to pass those locations on their route. This wouldn’t matter so much if it wasn’t also very inconsistent- ppl might get added to your route or the driver might have to wait for someone at a previous stop, and now you’re standing outside in the cold for an extra 15-20 minutes three blocks from your original location (just to see the driver pass it anyways)

early morning via doesn’t even work
Every morning if I don’t order it by 6:40 it take 40 minutes for me to get another one
Trash app
This app is trash. You can book a ride early to try and be on time for work,school etc and somehow you are still late. I tried to book a ride and it continues to say try again. Than if you call customer service they don’t help either. The rides be more than 30 minutes and the drivers are hopeless. Uber and Lyft are better and more reliable!!!

WORST APP EVER
Absolutely the worst app ever , I was a committed via driver and they fail me every time with an est pick up and drop off time that is always off , you don’t get refunded for any of the rides that cancel on you and you have to request a whole new ride on top of it yes officially done with Via
This app is stupidity and waste of time and money
This app is horrible the bus is better this! It doesn’t make sense you get in a ride thinking your going to get to work early or on time knowing it has stops so you book ahead of time and the dispatcher they dont know that the city is a lot of traffic and for you to be in traffic and almost at work then to go back and get 3 or 4 more people to be in traffic again it doesn’t make sense! And plus these people you talk to don’t even life in the USA they don’t know nothing about the streets these driver on! You have to have 2 hours in advanced for that take the bus your going to get there on time and only I’ve up people on the way to your destination and get there faster! You need to upgrade your business plan because jersey city going to shut down!!!!!

Horrible
Ride coming in 8 mins - changes to - 20 mins.. 10 mins later changes again to 24 mins.. then 16… then 24 again!! I waiter for an hour in the cold then gave up, why even bother!
Worst customer service
The app will change the ride every time by adding more minutes if you are in a rush don’t even bother to book a ride.
Sell this off or shut it down
Just got hung up on my cab driver while I could see you on the screen the location of the cab was like two blocks away. He says I’m here and when I call him, he says I have to leave, I’m sorry I tried to call customer service. no one picks up the phone without significant hold. I addressed this issue like a multiple times to the customer care. They say we’re gonna fix it and they don’t receive the call so literally lost like three rides doing this did not get picked up once got charged every time it’s terrible. I could give it a negative star only if they were possible, finally uninstalling this liability, disappointed to the extreme.

Unreliable
I had previously given up on the app due to its unreliability, but I decided to try it out again. However, I must say, I regret it.
Why provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for a certain time, only to have the driver pick up more passengers as soon as I get picked up? And to make matters worse, the driver has to pick up passengers in the opposite direction of my journey. Why would they need to pick up passengers 10 minutes north of me if I’m heading south? It simply doesn’t make sense. Don’t give me an ETA and then I end up being at my destination 30 minutes later than the estimated time. I understand being a few minutes off, but half an hour? Ridiculous!

Better ETA
The app is great but need to have better ETA , it’s ETA for driver and distance is way off which lead to driver waiting or driver leaves the passenger and cancel the ride ! Been happening for months now !
Unreliable
This app is just plain terrible you say you updated it but it somehow even worse than before. I don’t buy the five star reviews. They feel like bots because there’s no way real users Think this is OK. I schedule a ride 30 to 45 minutes advance basically almost an hour before I need it and the app just keeps pushing the wait time further out. Drivers claim they’re here when they’re nowhere in sight then they canceled on purpose on top of that the app sets my pick up and drop off right in front of my location but drivers drop me blocks and then complain on how they can’t drop me to the destination that’s on the app because it’s out of the way. And then when I try to pick a timeslot, the app says hi man it won’t let me do it. Or give the one that I have select it away either to get more drivers or just admit the app is not reliable or useful really it’s just a money grab. And short is not convenient. It’s not efficient and absolutely not worth the hassle. Please fix it or rethink the whole thing. There are numerous problems wrong with the app.

Long wait times
20-30 minute wait times present day is totally unacceptable. Anywhere between 5-15min is still tolerable. Totally useless service currently. My hope is the frequency gets better as the idea of subsidized cab service is really good.
