VRL TRAVEL SERVICE - WORST TOILET FACILITIES AND WORST TIMING OF BUSES. IRRESPONSIBLE AND RUDE STAFF
I had a worst experience this time while travelling from Pune to Tumkur.
Firstly I had booked the ticket on Thursday night at around 10 PM and the amount was deducted and was in an assumption that the ticket was booked. And because I normally travel using VRL, sometimes the message to come to your inbox gets delayed, I thought this would be done. Next day on Friday I was busy in the morning, and then at 6 PM in the evening when I checked for the upcoming bookings there was NO sentry at all. I had to call customer support to explain the issue and get it sorted. Despite all this I didn’t get the seat I primarily booked. I got the very first upper sleeper seat which is really not good in terms of comfort and journey, as there will be allot of disturbance from the passengers and drivers.
Secondly, the bus was scheduled to arrive at Navle bridge at 9 PM but arrived at 10:15 and the journey started at 10:30PM. These VRL guys at the station are always so impatient and irresponsible that, they let the pickup bus go if we are late by just 5mins and now when asked about when the bus would arrive they kept on saying 5mins and 10mins. The response and responsibility of these VRL service assistance guys is so so rude, unacceptable and irresponsible.
Thirdly, the bathrooms at VRL navel bridge office so so worst. It always stinks 😷. This place is never clean. It is always in the worst condition. The same goes with VRL office at Chitradurga. The worst washrooms or toilets I have ever seen. Bloody buggers, these guys charge so much for the bus and they do not maintain the toilets in their own offices properly. Stupid maintenance

Worst experience ever.. its second time they don’t complete the journey on time at all!!!
I recently traveled with VRL Travels and was extremely disappointed with the misleading information provided regarding journey durations.
The timings advertised by the company were highly unrealistic and not at all reflective of the actual travel time. When comparing these times with other apps, it was clear that VRL was claiming journeys could be completed in a timeframe that simply isn't possible on the roads — even with no obstacles.
This is a serious issue, especially for passengers who rely on these timings to plan their appointments and activities. The falsified journey times are not just inconvenient; they can have major consequences for those of us who schedule important events around these trips.
Unfortunately, it seems that VRL Travels is not addressing this issue, and the lack of care for accurate, honest travel information is deeply concerning.

App is good
I recently downloaded and used for our first travel it’s really good and tracking is precise in app.
Only one issue is it was showing the tracking but 2 hours before the trip end tracking lost on the app at booking tab. I have clock on the what’s app link to get the tracking in the app again. if possible please address this it will help us a lot.

Very bad experience
Recently travelled on Dec Dec 17 with VRL from Mysore to Udupi . The rest stops were in completely open areas with no proper facilities or privacy. It’s very uncomfortable and concerning, especially for women. How are ladies expected to get down and use restrooms in such open places? This shows a serious lack of planning and concern for passenger dignity and safety.
On top of this, only one person was handling both driving and passenger checks. This is highly unprofessional and unsafe. A driver should focus only on driving, not managing passengers at the same time. Overall, the service standards are very poor. I would not recommend VRL Travels unless they significantly improve safety, staffing, and basic passenger facilities.

Lack of hygiene and dignity
I recently traveled with VRL and was generally okay with the vehicle, but I was absolutely appalled by their "rest stop" policy. VRL still stops the bus in open areas/roadsides for passengers to relieve themselves.
The driver actually stopped the bus in the middle of nowhere and announced that passengers should use the "front and back of the bus" for urination. It was extremely uncomfortable and humiliating, especially for the female passengers who were expected to manage in an open field.
There are plenty of decent fuel stations, hotels, and toll plazas with proper restrooms along the route. VRL Ignoring those facilities to save few minutes. VRL needs to respect basic hygiene and the dignity of women.
