The old app was no much better quality. App is constantly freezing and picture is fuzzy. My SWAAN system is so much better and a fraction of the cost.
Bad App
Fundamentally poor interface. Buggy, slow to load, difficult to navigate. Difficult to log in. New update makes it impossible to toggle quality or zoom in.
Improved New Features
After enduring the limited features of this app for so long, its nice to finally see some updates. The ability to see in different modes, the added mic feature and layout options are all welcome improvements. I was hoping to see the VOD time advance feature improved. The choices of 1 min, 1 hour, 1 day means when scanning through you have to hit the advance (or reverse) button up to 60 times between the 1 min and 1 hour buttons. It would be so much easier if a 10 min button were added. The real estate exists.

Horrible program
Save yourself the aggravation. This app doesn’t work. The people that installed it can’t fix it. Keeps failing. The recorder doesn’t record. Now we’re stuck with a waste of money spent. ;(. What a shame!!

Has a great view when it decides to work. Just closes out randomly or will not load at all.
Glitches Galore.
App just closes for no reason and when you get a text during a search it exits your search so if you were trying to watch something on playback you have to start over.

This app is horrible! Why spend money on a Digital Watchdog when this is how you view it? No sliding timeline!! Playback is almost impossible! This app needs improvement!!! Why has there been no updates?
Tech support rude
App was working fine then had a connect fail message for 3 days. (Hard wired unit working correctly) Called tech support and they refused to help me saying I needed to talk to my installer. Hello!!! The problem is with the app not connecting... Waiting to hear back from installer.

Fast!
Searching video is intuitive and fast! The ability to search by events such as line crossing or motion is great!

So much better than the last system we had. Love the ease of use. We have multiple sites and see all cameras fast and easy.

Can’t Set Sensitivity Properly
I have had my installer back several times to try to get the sensitivity set so it doesn’t give 500 notifications a day. The NVR is now set at 10 (lowest) sensitivity and it still goes off all the time for no apparent reason. On one camera, at 10 it doesn’t pick up a person walking by, but other times it triggers for no reason that I can see.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this company. Paid a lot of money and it is just simply a horses@&t system. We have a Ring camera by our front door and it works better on motion than the DW.

Great cameras, terrible app
App is awful. Cannot view the event list unless I am at the site. App freezes and quits all of the time. App is SLOW to respond IF you can get it to work. We paid a ton of money to have the system installed.... They should have a decent app for the user!
Slow
Crashes almost every time you try to open it and view cameras. It takes about 5 tries before feed is able to load.
Horrible
This app is overly slow, full of bugs, drains the phone battery and is less than user friendly. It surprises me that in the age of today, with the hundreds of surveillance products and apps on the market that this is what was launched. This poorly designed app is enough not to recommend the DW brand.
