I use the application on personal device. It’s amazes me how poorly made this app is.
The app quits 9 times out of 10 when opening one of it’s notification. Interface is medieval looking and is the farthest thing from intuitive.
Notifications are a hit or miss.

Annoying bluetooth reminder
The worst thing is the unnecessary and relentless reminder to turn on Bluetooth. I don’t want to use Bluetooth with this app.

Useless. Beyond useless
It crashes every other time I sign on requiring a sign on. Has been case for all versions and different iPhones. No way to set Home Screen to send a text, to default to all contacts and not just favorites, and no way to set “all patients” and not just “my patients” which is strange since I have no “my patients” ever. This is among the worst communication apps I’ve used in decades

I have yet to find one function/aspect that works smoothly in this app.
Works somewhat
Better function than paging (I appreciate the ability to text back and forth) but finding a contact is hard. Sometimes the message doesn't pop up until I open my phone which is an issue since I need to get the notification when it is off. One other glitch: for some reason after I downloaded this app, any time I try to push "call" on my most common contact in my iPhone, it defaults to vocera (an app they don't have) instead of a regular phone call. Doesn't happen for anyone else. Now that button to call that contact doesn't work at all. Very strange but it was a glitch that happened after downloading Vocera for work.

Bad app
I don’t understand how it is not possible to change your PIN within the app. I had to call the hospital IT department and they have to put in a ticket with Vocera to get it changed. This is an obvious security risk considering of somebody gets my PIN they can now log into my app and I’m not able to change it. Major security, and HIPPA violation risk.

For some reason it won’t take calls unless the location is on always not just when the app is on. Anyway I hate this thing
Randomly crashes
This is an app our hospital requires us to use. It takes up a fairly large amount of memory on my cell phone. It will also randomly crash at any point during use. I think smoke signals might be a more effective way to communicate.
Worst app of the 2000s
I wish I could compass report this app. Some developer clearly doesn’t give a s. There’s no excuse for having this bad of an app in 2025.
Terrible
Call function never works. I miss urgent messages all the time. This app adds so much stress to my job. I would much rather carry around a giant pager because those are ALWAYS reliable. No hospital should use this app in my opinion.
Very High Background Battery Drain
This app uses an absolutely ridiculous amount of battery power in the background. It drains more battery than any other inactive app, even when the app hasn’t been used in weeks.
Not sure how this app is still around
Honestly this is app is a relic that is still somehow being used. It has not kept up with any of the advances of IOS in the last 10 years, I guess. It is clunky at best, crashes regularly and is not all that user friendly.

This works so poorly people thought I wasn’t picking up my phone and I almost lost my job. It’s the absolute worst.

Don’t get this app if you have an iPhone pro max. It won’t work and between Apple and this creator, they can’t figure it out. Absolutely useless app.
Removes me from on-call status
This app works well enough during the day, but it will remove me from on-call status for no reason and without notice.
Crash repeat crash
Every other time this app gets “active” though it is always on in background, it crashes requiring a restart. Every single time. It’s pathetic. Using up to date iOS.
