App Never Opens
The app never opens, which means I can’t check in my flight. Since every check-in link directs me to the app. Terrible!
You get what you pay for.
About as budget airline as it gets. Requires you to check in on app but doesn’t work half the time, it’s a bit buggy. All this airline has going for it is that it’s a lot cheaper. If you are prepared to save $100 but there’s a high chance you’ll get shafted then go for it. Just hope nothing goes wrong or else it’s a headache.

Another app built to rip you off
I will write it here instead of putting it in some buried document on the site or application where you have to read in between the lines. We had to pay $60 (about 30 bucks per person) USD to check into our flight in person because the application simply did not let us. It gives you the vaguest error messaging, and loads forever. We even showed the front desk and they just kept repeating that we had to check in through the application, or that we there would be a charge, and they could not help us. Never have I run into a “budget” airline that has a paywall for its customer service. Please fix this bug.

Price gouging corporation
Volaris will sell you a ticket price for at market value and then proceed to hit you with every fee possible know to mankind at the last possible moment when you’re at your most vulnerable with limited time. The worst part is they’re one of the only airlines that directly operates out of Mexico. I won’t be flying with Volaris again! USE Aeromexico!

App error and I ended up paying a $300 up charge
I picked my dates and flights because of the price. I checked the dates 3 TIMES before purchasing. After payment went through my flight confirmation is sent to me. It was set for departure and return on the same day with a difference of minutes! Panicked I tried switching my dates online and it wouldn’t let me. I tried their AI and still couldn’t. Finally was directed to a call center where I was told app errors are not covered by their policy and that I would have to pay $300 to switch my return flight. I even went back to redo the reservation and the price and my original dates were right! This airline is a complete scam.

The Worst Travel Companion
This app is always on the fritz. Constantly needs to be updated and it still glitches. Makes it really difficult for you to check-in and obtain your boarding pass especially since this is the only place you can check-in. Their chat bot is as helpful as a toddler fixing your IT issues.

I’m trying to change my personal info bc I entered it wrong by accident. You can no change it or even delete the account. What a terrible app. I can’t even get ahold of costumer service. I’m trying to book my flight but I can’t bc my personal info is incorrect and I can’t change it. 0/5
Useless
Stop relying so heavily on technology, some of us don’t have smart phones and need the website to check in or register. Pointless having customer service if you’re only talking to a bot, when i borrow an iPad for check in of flights the app doesn’t work or says my info is invalid. This is ridiculous, Volaris is the worst airline out there

Annual pass is a scam
When you make a reservation from Mexico to USA the TUA is included in your ticket but later on when you return to do your check-in they pressure you to repay it claiming you chose to postpone payment on reservation which isn’t possible with the annual pass. This sucks because now me and my family have to do arrive even earlier and explain our reservation and do check-in at the counter in person.

Bad AND mandatory
Every other carrier allows me to check in and get a boarding pass from the website. What makes volaris of all airlines so special that I can't. The app is a mess too, dropdowns are not visible, boarding pass crashes, text inputs redo the whitespaces on their own... Loading animations are pretty though?

Why cant you have to scan 2 passports
i tried to scan my mexican passport to travel to USA and i also have the USA one if i tried the USA one it was charging me like 1000 pesos and now that i countered with the people with the company were trying to get 500 and i told them i tried on the web thats why i give a 1 star or a ZERO star they wanted for people to be able to make a check in to the the MEXICAN passport and VISA or GRENCARD and because of that they didn't give me an seat why thats stupid also they said there is a 50/50 for me to ride in the plane

NO VUELEN CON VOLARIS 🤮
Pésima experiencia de principio a fin. Desde el check-in hubo una pésima organización y comunicación. La fila para documentar equipaje tardó horas en avanzar.
Después abordamos el avión y permanecimos ahí durante 2 horas porque, según nos informaron, había tráfico aéreo. Al regresar a la puerta de embarque nos dijeron que el avión ya no tenía combustible, por lo que tuvimos que esperar otra hora más.
Nuestro vuelo estaba programado para salir a las 7:00 am y terminó despegando hasta las 4:00 p. m.
Lo peor fue que durante toda esa espera no nos ofrecieron agua, apagaron el aire acondicionado y ni siquiera había comida disponible para regalar o comprar.
Fue una experiencia muy desagradable. Sin duda, primera y última vez que viajo con esta aerolínea. Si tienen otra opción, elíjanla. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
