Eats up a lot of storage space

I do love using this app but I it uses A LOT of storage space (more than 4 or 5 GB). I have to delete the app and
redownload it every month in order to free up storage space. I hope the developers can fix this issue in future updates.

Shoulder pain

Energetic; worked shoulders in several planes.

Neck: interesting movements to increase stretch and mobility, decrease pain.

Cool but poor syncing kills it

I love the videos for the exercises and the variety of movements! I also feel better during the day. But the syncing with apple health and my Apple watch are really bad and that’s annoying for getting an accurate track of sedentary time.

Not for me

I needed a reminder, not a workout

Tolle App!

Mit der App achte ich viel mehr darauf, mich immer wieder zu bewegen bevor Rücken oder Nacken steif wird. Außerdem finde ich die App auch optisch sehr schön.

i cant sign in

can't sign in with apple, no option skip

New to this

So far I enjoy everything about this app, thank the stars I finally found an app that relates to my life

Sad it has changed

I have used it for 4 years. Sadly many of the movements have AI generated figures, not the real humans it originally used. Now the movements are too quick and not human-like. Cancelling my sub.

Farts

Yep yep

It’s good but

It’s a good app. However if you take a day off and click on take today off your apps will continue to lock every 25 min so you have to go back in Wakeout and tap taking today off all day long because it will continue to lock you out all day Very frustrating! So apparently you can not take the day off. Stupid it is offered since it does not work.

Screen time access restricted my access to any safari website and most other apps on my phone

Just like the title says the day after setting this up I suddenly was unable to access any site on Safari, and roughly 50% of the apps on my phone including all Apple native apps. After following all of the troubleshooting steps I finally contacted Apple support thinking something was wrong with my phone. Turns out it was the Wakeout app. I even purchased bitdefender thinking I had somehow gotten a “bug”. I am running iOS 26.5 on a 16 Pro. If you see these issues occur with your phone, it might be Wakeout.

Not Work Friendly

If you work in an office and want to use the timer, don’t. The back button needed to turn the music off (and keep the boss sweet about the idea of a 1 minute exercise break) is non-existent. To go back to the main page I have to reset my iPad. So much for this app not taking up too much of my day. I have now been told no more Wakeout in the office.

Used to be great, now not so much

I really love this app. I loved the variety, the way it offered me an option based on my context (standing in the kitchen), and let me dismiss the one offered to choose another. It kept me active in bite sized ways that I could slowly increase. But now it’s changed. I only get one option or have to choose from the huge list, nothing between. It’s no longer a big useable app for me and the AI agent said a human would help me, but nope. Ghosted. So frustrating that I paid an annual subscription after the trial and the app changed to be unusable.

Nice app but…

Now the reviews were really good so I think this app is really good and I have this app but there’s one problem. It tells me to make an account and I had to sign in with Apple, but it doesn’t let me sign in with Apple because my phone won’t let me so yeah great but it’s good. It’s good.

Great app!

Really helps!

AI Slop, look elsewhere

Don’t let the historical rating of this app fool you, this app is filled with AI slop. You’re met with AI slop from the moment you open the app to sign up.

You have to choose one of the notification styles from an “expert” which seems like it’s just AI generated notifications with the flavor of your choosing. Applying the label “expert” to AI generated content should be a red flag to everyone. Another red flag is each of those “expert” cards has AI generated images. Some have four fingers on one hand and three fingers on the other, some have two fingers while others have three fingers, the shade of green on each “expert” is different, and the accessories are wonky (a floating planner, a coffee mug that doesn’t align with the fingers).

Ask yourself these questions before downloading Wakeout.

Does an app that force-feeds AI slop to new customers with such little quality control right out of the gate deserve your money, data, and time?

Does an app that drives some longstanding users to delete it due to an increased implementation of AI slop (I encourage you to read through the 1 star reviews from the past year) deserve your money, data, and time?

Last little nugget of information I found interesting. The website shows it has an App Store rating of 4.8 but the current App Store rating is 4.5. Why the decline? The only insight we have as consumers is through public reviews, which I encourage everyone to exercise their right to read the reviews from the past 6-12 months, including the developer responses, to see if this app is worth YOUR money, data, and time.

It’s definitely not worth MY money, data, and time ✌️

Buggy with unsafe exercises

This is truly not worth the subscription. It rarely works as it should, sending you alerts to exercise at 1am, despite setting your awake hours. Many of the bending and twisting exercises are outright hazardous. Customer service is racially non existent. And the “cancel at any time” promise is ridiculously misleading since it only refers to you canceling automatic charges to your credit card in the future. If you sign up for a year, you cannot cancel anything. You can discontinue automatic renewal on any app in your App Store settings, so they have no actual cancellation possibility.

This is NOT free

It looks like free and started with free mode. You will find membership at the end. Otherwise. You need to delete the account. So literally you sell your information to 3rd party legally. Share this because I don’t want you to make the same mistake.
