The core rules aren’t updated on the expensive App. For the love of earth… WHY??????
Buggy, useless, and predatory
App crashes constantly and the UI is a convoluted mess. Not to mention you have to pay to build more than one army on top of paying for a physical codex just to use the code and throw the book away because it’s already out of date. As if we don’t spend enough money on GW’s models, now we have to fork over more money for an app that barely holds a candle to other list builders made by a single developer. You want a good app, maybe hire some of these 3rd party app developers you keep snuffing out to help you make a decent app.

The App is Great, Ok
There’s a lot of negative reviews on here that I feel aren’t quite justified. Warhammer is a complicated game, and GW does a great job of making everything as accessible as possible, especially with Combat Patrol units and rules.
Ts actually sucks
I’ve been trying to log in for the past 2 days and it keeps saying there’s an unexpected error every single time I try to log in or register the account and then in the customer service it legit dosent even say anything about the issue
Price increase
That subscription price increase feels really bad when it offers so little. Just because there’s a new edition shouldn’t mean they get to charge even more than they already are.

Huh, looks like GW served a C&D order to WarOrgan because one guy made an app 10 times better than the official GW app. Instead of changing for the better GW just nuked them and said “I’m greedy, give me more money for this slop”

Why can you not just buy a codex code instead of people having to waste mountains of paper buying a book every edition. Now a price hike for with no reason ? No new features, no extra functionality. Bit of a joke really 6.99 to create lists.

Okay so it’s a great idea, but the execution is lacking. You have to buy a physical book for a code to get the rules in this app. You cannot just buy the code to use.
Now they updated the game to 11e and if you own the old codex you have to buy a new one to get a new code to use the app people have been using. I think someone at GW needs to revamp this system and allow us to buy the codes, and updating the rule’s shouldn’t cost us money if we already own the digital code.

So sad
It’s bad you spend a few hundred to get the models build them out and get a codex only to have to pay a subscription to build multiple lists for the army and codex you own ( if you want the up to date points )
Apps like warorgan prove it can be done, better, for free, and is just around more user friendly, the fact a company this large money grabs, build a worse app, and ultimately is inferior is beyond me.
If your going to charge even more for a game that people invest hundreds of not thousands in, make it bloody good and so we don’t need to outsource to warorgan or new recruit.
But you’d rather cease and desist all who do something you cannot for free instead of being better.

Not worth your time
App only sees downloads due to GW taking down competitors apps which are vastly superior by every metric.

Awful monetisation, limiting number of rosters unless I pay MONTHLY to save a couple extra txt files. Gross.

It’s awful
Terrible to use, issues take forever to get fixed and you also have to pay 8.50 a month to have more than one army list as well as needing to buy a separate codex for each army you wanna play that becomes useless after two years

Armageddon just launched…. No app support. Very non-intuitive army building support…
And let’s not forget… I paid money for the hardback Codex books that have access codes and they don’t work… very disappointing

Having to buy a codex again
I have the I’ll codex but the new one has come out and I’ll have to buy another again, all armies a basically a subscription to pay, everyone just play war organ
Continued bad execution
They updated the app early, so if you are playing Orks, do not update until you have the new codex or it’ll lock you out of detachments!
Close, but could be better
A couple improvements would make this app far better.
- Sync lists across devices. Why isn’t this possible now?
- A toggleable modifiers option to show those extra attacks and other altered stats when in battle mode.
- Show the weapon count in battle mode. Even if it’s just the starting count, it’d be far more helpful than nothing at all.
