App trouble
Have had a lot of trouble getting on the App once it was installed.Keeps searching for the controller but can’t open it so have been very frustrated with it.The technician who installed the lights and got them all set up and connected to my Wifi had trouble with it too.The App needs some fine tuning to make it better.Disappointing to say the least.

App out of date
I love the lights, but programming them is tedious. The app hasn’t been updated since we got the light 3 years ago.

Ok lights but so far behind the other companies
Lights are ok if your old and want basic colours but with technology out there there is no presets compared to other companies that have oilers colours, frozen themes, paw patrol themes, Valentine’s Day, st Patrick’s day etc. we were told they were always updating this app with new ideas and they’ve done nothing in the two years we’ve had them not one update nothing has changed not one new theme to try nothing

Needs a serious update
We’ve had our watt lights since January 2022. We were promised an update to the app and controller when we purchased the lighting. Over a year later still no updates. Very disappointed. We’ve had tons of issues with lights being offline and difficult to connect back. Not user friendly at all.
Need preset patterns
I love the lights but the app needs upgrading. My buddy installed another companies lights and his app has a ton of preset light patterns which are set with just a touch in the app. Would be nice to have presets and not just trying to find a color in a bad app
Better App needed
I love the look of the lights. But selecting colours is difficult. It’s very hard to create patterns. Other manufacturers have downloadable patterns etc. I can also only save a certain number of custom patterns and the preset ones are terrible. I was told an updated app was coming very soon but that was shortly after we had them installed this past spring

Make it easier to pick basic Colors
It is really hard to choose Colors from the grid. There should be an option to pick standard colors like red, green, orange, blue etc.
Disappointed
We have had our lights for over a year and a half now. We have been promised for a year and a half now that an update was coming to have the lights do many many different things. This app is far too basic and Watts is being left in the dust by the various other companies with A) Quality of lights, B) Simplicity of the app, C) Various patterns and presets within their apps. Extremely disappointed and hoping something FINALLY comes by peak lighting season.

App not easy to use
While I love the lights, the install and how they look, the app is not intuitive at all. I hope a new an update will be available soon as Watts has promised.
Where’s the instructions?
Trying to connect as I had my boxes replaced. They left new boxes but not connected to my app. Left several messages. No response. Can’t find instructions on the app. Painful.

Disappointing
The lights are great, but the app+controller are pretty disappointing. There is no central config store, so you have to do all system setup/saving presets on your spouse's phone too. The built-in animations are not good or don't work at all ("Christmas" is blue??)...quite a few unimplemented or partially implemented features, like individual segment control. The scheduler doesn't allow you to specify what color/animation to display. Even at the fastest speed the animations are terribly slow. There is no ability to even set a pattern that scrolls down the string of lights (the main basic feature I assumed it would have). Also no ability to control individual lights, so no selectively-placed accent lighting :( No in-app feedback of what your lights are currently doing...so you can turn your lights on/off from anywhere with an internet connection, but there's no way for you to check what they're actually doing. Overall it feels like a beta product...I'm very much hoping it will improve

Great product but could use some improvements
Love the actual lights, but it’s very difficult to choose a colour from the colour grid. I’d like to see some standard ROYGBIV colours preset above the grid for easy selection. Also for some reason the animation settings seem to ignore the brightness factor. For animations the fastest speed setting isn’t really all that fast.
