Excited to bike Trieste until I had to use this app
By far the worst bike share app I’ve experienced anywhere in the world. After wasting 30 minutes I gave up and just enjoyed the city on foot. Recommend the city do not recommend Weelo.

This app does NOT work, if you are a tourist a taxi is a better thing to use.
Impossible for Americans
Weelo is so badly designed that it can’t read American phone numbers. It states that your cell # is “invalido” and will not proceed. This comes up when, after stating that an SMS (ie text message) has been sent with a confirmation number (to be entered), no text appears. You attempt to Save the information (since that’s an option and you’re desperate), and only then does it tell you that your cell is invalid. There is no workaround. (I can read and speak Italian, so that part wasn’t an obstacle for me.)
