Litter robot 5 pro camera delete all button

I have a 5 pro in my office and it records constantly. There needs to be a delete all button for the recording history. This is a suggestion for future update. Please!

Out of this world

The cat loves it and she wants to live in it. Bella thinks that it is amazing and it’s her toilet. I have to write what she thinks about this potty.

Wonderful product

It is so very nice not to have to scoop two times a day. It his product is a life saver.

Nice app and I would give it five stars with a little work

I really like this litter box. The app is a nice app. It is not completely accessible for the blind. I use voiceover on my phone and sometimes I have trouble. That’s why I gave it four stars.

None of the Advertised Features Work (Litter Robot 5 Pro)

The app looks and feels nice to use, but is functionally useless. They require an ongoing subscription for certain features, but don’t tell you all those features are broken anyway. Cat detection doesn’t work. It regularly misses cats entering the globe, misidentifies which cat is present, and records tons of useless “events” of your cat walking 15 feet away in your living room. The events never record the interior camera, so you can’t use it to identify whether your cat might be sick or straining to pee/poo. The scale never records any weight for your cats. It will also attribute visits to the box to the wrong cat if you have multiple cats since it uses the very poor cat identification from the front camera (i have an orange & a grey cat, this shouldn’t be difficult). Additionally, there is a frequent and ongoing issue with every version of the litter box where it will constantly say the waste tray is full even when it is empty. This means it won’t automatically turn. Thus defeating the main reason you purchase one of these.

Whiskers refuses to provide any kind of roadmap for when they will fix the broken features, implement the advertised interior camera events, etc. They still charge that subscription, though! They will also treat your bug report/feature inquiry as if you are unique in reporting it when in reality every single LR5P owner is complaining about this.

Disappointed

Product doesn’t hold up! We have purchased (2) litter robot over the years and have had multiple issues. We have replaced the motor, the cat sensor . It’s just on going problems. These units are very costly and aren’t worth the price. So very disappointed.

Whisker is the best

It came fully assembled, except for the hopper in the front porch. They snap in place this device rocks, even the cats were interested in it before it even had litter in it.

Connectivity is awful

This app has the worst, most inconsistent connectivity I’ve ever seen. It disconnects constantly even when nothing changes. Our unit on the main floor along with a WiFi extender, and no other devices in the house have this issue on any floor. This device just tells us “disconnected” or “motor fault error” or any number of other issues all the time. It needs a ton of work even years later.

Love my Litter-Robot 4

I’ve had this model since it first came out. It has been worth every penny we spent. Yes, it was pricy for us and I had a bit of sticker shock but I also had a LBot 2. That thing was a soldier and I know if it’s well taken care of these Bots last for a while.
No problems but an occasional WiFi reset when we have a power issue etc. It’s a great investment if you are a busy person or travel for work a night or two. You know the litter box is clean- every time.

Litter Robot 4

This litter robot never works at all. I have to manually cycle it every hour!!!

About app notifications

I was wondering (or make a wish) if I can choose only to show notifications when the drawer is almost full. Rather than every use. Thanks!

Worth the investment

This is one of the best investments we have made. The amount of money saved on litter saved and cannot even try to put a price on the amount of time saved from not having to scoop.

Data replaced with subscription

Company says it’s all about your cats health. That data in any reasonable time span is no longer available in the app. For existing customers a pay wall was put up. They said it’s for new features only. But what they did was remove the ability to see more than 7 rolling days of weight and # of visits. Before you could export it.

I don’t care what live feeds or additional insights they may offer with the data. Right now as an existing customer, one for more than 15 yrs, they took away data and replaced it with paywall buttons “free trial” and and an emotional appeal to protect your pets. Data I had before. It’s a stupid business move. They have competition… if they treat their customers better, go with those devices.

Wish the app was smarter

Would also be helpful if the litter robot is flashing colors that the app would tell you what it means and how to fix it.

For example-if the litterhopper is “ready” but hasn’t dispensed litter in weeks (sometimes months) it would be great if the app triggered something to fix it or helped you fix it. Same with the cleaning. If the litter cleaning stops mid cycle EVERYTIME, trigger something to recognize something is going wrong.

The fact that the best the app does is send you to the website where, if you want help, you have to enter all the data that the app already knows is really disappointing.

2 picky catz

So far, so good!!!

Cludgy

The app looks nice, but seems a mess under the hood. Took about 2 hours to get the device setup after dozens of attempts. After downgrading my network substantially, I was able to get it setup. Adding the cats was straight forward, but the app was erratic. It also seems to have a pre-2000 low res limit for photos as well. So the app design looks good, but it seems to suffer from coding issues. If I had known this fairly new model (Litter-Robot 5) only supported archaic levels of 2.4ghz WiFi, this would have been a hard pass. I have dozens of 2.4GHz smart devices and they all work on a split 2.4/5Ghz network. This may have to go back before the cats use it.

Log in issues

The app constantly logs me out and the litter robot spins maybe 33% of time. Most of the time I have to press the button.

Please fix the feeder scheduling app issues

Brand new feeder and create the schedule, enable it, then go back into the device and it’s gone like a fart in the wind.

This is an expensive device and not being able to view or modify a feeding schedule is a deal breaker.

App

The app is great!

Does less now than in the beginning.

I used to be able to pause and reset my litter robot, I can't any more and thr litter robot itself is very glitchy so if I go away for the weekend and the litter robot paused, I can't reset it and this happens every day. Overall very unimpressed with the app and the litter robot as a matter of fact
