Not so good

Listening to audio from my iPhone. Middling sound and odd connection issues. But Widex app tells me over and over hearing aids aren’t connected.

Excellent hearing aids for musicians, but man . . . what dismal performance this app.

Verschlimmbessert

Great functionality and here’s a Bluetooth hack

If the app loses its connection, just go to settings and turn Bluetooth off and on. The app automatically connects. There’s no need to follow the app’s “connection guide instructions after the initial setup. The Allure app provides many more options for modifying and enhancing sound than Oticon - for directionality, clarity, etc. The sound is more natural. I expect the Bluetooth issue will be fixed, but it’s really no big deal.

Compare other hearing aid apps

If you compare other manufacturers and their apps you will see they are better. Please make this one better. Please take a look at the reviews. Also, please remove the loud obnoxious sound when adjusting the volume or muting the sound. It’s so annoying.

Total failure

I used the Widex moment app until I upgraded to Allure. The Allure app has none of the ability of the Moment App. I was told that was by design as the Allure uses AI to make adjustments- Not enough. The sub-par App is a reason to avoid the Allure hearing aid.

AI Equals NS (Natural Stupidity)

I go through all the steps with their Artificial (not very) Intelligence. Then I try to save my choice and this app just kicks me out without saving. This went on with the previous version and now it’s going on with the current version. Would you please fix this thing already or just drop it. It’s making you look foolish, but that’s what AI usually does. Rethink it.

Unhappy

My hearing battery life went from over 24 hours to dying within 12 hours after 06/08/26 update! There has to be a bug in the update. These hearing aids are to damn expensive to have issues like an iPhone after an update.

Great hearing aids, lousy app

This is my third pair of Widex HAs and by far the best. The sound quality is amazing. Mine are paired to a base iPhone 16. Like others, I've seen the app flail around with maintaining its connection to the HAs, but I've never noticed a problem when I'm on a call. Note that I don't often stream music, but when I do, again, no problems.

My major complaint is the current version of the app, as of 7 June 2026. When this version came out a couple of weeks ago, it absolutely clobbered battery life. Before update, I'd put them in the charger as I went to bed after wearing them for 16 hours or so and they'd report 60-70% battery life remaining, or another 12 hours or so.

NOW the app reports 25-30% battery remaining. Either the app has a bug that introduced a race condition that is eating the battery, or the previous versions were not reporting battery life accurately. And since there's no way for us users to reach out to them after giving them $3-4,000+, who knows.

Plus they need to fix the Bluetooth issues.

I think they went wrong by trying to introduce "AI" into the app. The previous apps were solid, the new interface sucks.

Problem noch nicht gelöst. Schwierig

Needs fixes

One or both aids will disconnect and randomly switch settings hurting my ears. This are my first hearing aids and it is not a good experience. When trying to adjust the settings to get a better sound quality, the screen flips back to Home Screen and I can never set the sound. This is very annoying.

Bluetooth Connectivity Issues

After using Allure hearing aids
for four months I’ve come to the conclusion that there is a fundamental problem with BT connectivity. It randomly, and unexpectedly, drops the connection to one or both hearing aids. Incoming phone calls are pot-luck and returning back after a phone call is weird. Many times I have to reboot everything and start over. Also, the need to enter the equalizer and adjust one increment to get clearer sound is bizarre. Serious
problems here. I also use TVPlus and connectivity and integration with incoming phone calls while using TVP isn’t smooth. Many times I need to call the caller back once I reboot my app and devices. All-in-all, not a smooth experience and doesn’t perform as expected.

Note: I am previous Widex Moment user of 4+ years without any of these issues. My purchase was from my audiologist and included Widex company rep for setup. Have told them and gone through their technical support, problem not resolved.

App is not reliable

Having errors, bad or no connection, re loading app, turning bluetooth off/ on pairing again, and being held captive to apple iPhone , makes the Widex experience terrible. Shouldve stayed with Opticon. 6500$ for bad unreliable app/ devices is such a rip off

Iphone accessibility setting works better

Wrestled with app fir 2 months to make it less harsh and tinny sounding while being able to hear. Impossible. I turned Bluetooth off on that phone with the aoo, used another phone and cinnected Bluetooth to the hearing aud and was stunned at how much better it sounded using the phone built in equalizer. Sounds great without having to switch through preset sounds in the app. This

Bluetooth major issues

As others stated the Bluetooth simply won’t stay connected. It randomly reconnects at will. Eg: such as for an incoming call it defaults to my hearing aides. I don’t really want them too. However, when streaming music they almost NEVR connect. I have to turn off phone and restart. They will connect, but then disconnect again. Then, I have to “forget device” and repair all over. This occurs EVERYDAY. $8,000 for these????? Still within my return period and they are going back. What a waste. I can’t run any tinnitus apps through them either - the main reason I bought them. If you can’t get Bluetooth to work, don’t sell this product!!!!!

Almost, but not entirely useless

Cannot set a default sound setting, every time you take them off the charger, they revert to ‘universal’.
Cannot update the universal setting (save it).
I had to have my audiologist change the base settings.
All in all a waste of time.

Really?

You pay $6000 for the upgraded Widex Allure and they can’t devote resources to developing an app that works and stays connected to the hearing aids instead of having to take them out and re-pair. I’m in my return window so these are going back to the audiologist.
