Updated app is virtually unusable
The app used to work just fine for me when they had you log in with your google account. Now that they’ve changed things, it’s much harder to search wines, items do not stay in the cart from the app to the website, and there seems to be no way to redeem your credits through the app anymore. Also, customer service has been incredibly slow to respond, and then responded with utterly unhelpful suggestions in bad English that was difficult to make heads or tails of (no offense if English isn’t someone’s first language, but customer service should be able to effectively communicate with customers). They then told me I could just email them the wines I wanted to order and they could place it for me, which really completely defeats the purpose of the app. I live rural and don’t have a home internet connection at the moment, so the phone is my only option to order from, so the website isn’t much help as it’s not very phone friendly.
Just save your money and buy wine at the grocery store. They can’t ship a bunch of stuff to most states anyway it turns out.

Lacks transparency but at least there’s wine
I signed up for Winc in order to try their selection of sugar-free wines. I received my first box and enjoyed almost all of the wines that I got. I did not receive subsequent boxes, however, since it is a manual process and I did not realize I must personally select wines for the following months. I forgot about my subscription and a few months later found that I had been charged over $60/month for wine—non refundable. I was able to order wines but the prices are about twice that of shopping at my local grocery for each bottle. Cancelling is a very difficult process. You must contact support and if you don’t answer a series of emails by your next billing date, you will be charged for the next month, non refundable. I liked the wines but they were not worth the cost and hassle of managing this subscription.

This App is a High School Elective
Not sure who at Winc contracted their kid to create this app but it needs work. And hey youth in question, don’t take my 1 star as negative feedback, instead focus on how you can grow! The overall appearance takes me back to having a Motorola Raz0r when flip phones were a status symbol. There’s no “back button” in case I decided I don’t want white wine but need more red or vice versa. My main complaint this doesn’t feel like a genuine experience and I want it to feel special.

So Disappointed!
I downloaded the app to sign into my account. Oh wait, I can’t do that. I attempted to sign in using the email, nope that doesn’t work either. The longer I try to sign in, the more I hear the word “SCAM”. You want my money, I get that. But check it out. You’ve got to have a business people want to keep ordering from, right? I’m a business owner, I went to college, I understand. It seems, once the customer gets their initial shipment, it serves your business for the customer to not have access to their account so they can’t make an order. You’d prefer to just knock our bank accounts every month “to build up points”, riiiiight???? Sneaky, but not that original 🙄 I’m out. I’ll cancel my credit card before you’ll get another penny from me.

Omg I just want to log in
I am a winc subscriber and I would just love to be able to hop into the app to see my profile. Now it used to be that you click the app and it prompts you to log in…every time. That was annoying. Now, however, not only do you need to log in but you are taken to the company home page and good luck finding anywhere to access your profile. Frustration is setting in… Also it looks like the company has declined to provide privacy information, super shady. It is concerning as a customer.

Review of the app UX
No complaints about the service - standard subscription delivery, the wines are good. I can’t stand the app. You cannot search for wines, & it is difficult to reorder a wine you like. They suggest wines to you but it’s difficult to view them (lots of clicks). It is just difficult to navigate - I have started to order wine several times, but got distracted & forgot.

Awesome Customer Service
I really did enjoy this app while I could afford it and while I was drinking more wine. I cut back on my wine consumption and was using their skip-a-month feature. I forgot to skip and asked for a refund. You can contact their customer service via text! So easy and so quick. I was granted the refund. I wish I could afford to continue to support this company. It’s $50 a month which isn’t unreasonable, I just no longer have room for it in my budget.

Horrible company
I got a wine shipment from Winc last March 2020 during the pandemic to try something new. I was not informed that I was signing up for a subscription. I only realized 3 months later and had to jump through hoops to get it canceled in June 2020. Now… I find out I am being charged again, starting May 2021 after asking to cancel my account last year. Again the service is horrible. Stay far away from this company if I could give negative stars I would.

Don’t believe the negative hype
Don’t put too much faith in the reviews about the service and prices, if you live in NYC like me getting wine this good delivered for $12 a bottle is amazing. I’ve been using them for over a year and my only complaint so far is about the App which needs really needs some stability updates, but you can easily use their website for the same functions so it hasn’t bothered me much. Bottom line: they always have really good wine in the $10-15 range, they offer the ability to try out new varietals and labels every month, if you want to get more into this world without spending a ton of money and time this is the way to do it.

Fix your Tech
I loved the business model, branding, and being so customizable. For that reason I decided to try it out. Couldn’t process a gift package via clicking PayPal option. I know the issue isn’t on the PayPal side because I used the app earlier today via a different website payment option link.
Will try again in the future, but it seems like the tech is a standard problem they haven’t focused on based on other reviews.
Good luck with series E...

The app is just the Mobile Site... but worse.
Somehow they made the mobile site work worse on the app. Your profile is not remembered so you must log in every time. The UX is terrible, the mobile website works better than the app. Just use your phone browser instead. Really not worth the app download, it’s clear they have not even tried to create an actual phone app.

Great Service! Loved the Wine!
Got my order in two days! Delicious wine!
Not everyone can go to a store weekly. I have health issues, so I go once a month. Usually just to pick up a Target Run and Done, my husband shops. Here in MN you usually go to a liquor store to purchase Wine or alcohol, few grocers carry any. I order online as much as possible! This is one of the good ones! You can pick Every 1,2 or 3 months! Very happy customer here!

Don’t buy this membership it’s robbery
My experience with Winec is absolutely disappointing I put my first order on 04/02 for which I was very excited after 6 days 3 tickets, fail calls I just realized my order is on the limbo which is absolutely unprofessional and probably ilegal as they shouldn’t charge if the service is unavailable. Now the questions is how do I cancel and how do I get my money back, to bad that companies like this use their services to steal from ppl

Does Not Ship Automatically
When I first signed up as a Christmas present for my wife, I was excited. The first shipment came, and she liked all of the wines.
Then, instead of the next shipment, my account was charged and I was given a “credit”. After contacting customer service, they apologized and said they would straighten it out, would send next month’s shipment using this credit. Ok, cool. Now it happened again this month.

Too expensive, not enough incentive
Look, maybe this is just the economics of doing business online, but without the retail overhead, why are these prices so expensive? I'm not paying $55 for 3 bottles of red wine to enjoy at home when I can go to Trader Joe's and get 3 solid bottles for $35. The whole "at your door" convenience concept is stale. Who do you know that doesn't go to the grocery store once a week or so? Winc needs to get creative with incentivizing existing customers instead of spending so heavily on acquisition and advertising. I got $15 off on my first order or something. Great. 1 of the 3 bottles was repulsive, so that was the $15 right there. Now I should just pay $55-$85/week for 3 bottles instead of just picking a few out at a grocery or wine store? Pfff. Who's NOT thinking here?

Love winc but not the app
I’m not very happy with the update to the app. First of all, I’m having to log in every single time I get on the app. My info is not saved. The app is not very user friendly in my opinion. It’s glitchy on the sliding and some of the links won’t work for me. I definitely liked the old app better. Just seemed more streamlined and straightforward. Hopefully another update comes soon and it’s better. Love me some Winc but the app is lacking.

Can’t log in, resetting password doesn’t work either
I tried their wines and was very happy with the quality and shipping. I ended up canceling my membership due to constant issues trying to log in - no matter whether on iPhone, laptop, Safari, Chrome or via this app, every time I try to login with my password- even immediately after resetting, I can’t access my account.
Was hoping the app would make it possible, but nope!

Newest Update is Horrible.
The latest update rolled out prevents you from being able to stay logged in; making you have to manually sign in EVERY time you open the app - even if you exit it for a couple minutes before returning to it. I’ve been a Winc member for years because of its ease of use, but the app is making me so frustrated that is actually making me reconsider my membership.

Login issues; website is better anyway
I’ve been using the app for years without trouble and in the past week it won’t accept my login. I reset my password and it still wouldn’t work. I went to the actual website and all works just fine. Worse though, when going to the website I realized it has a lot more information and things on it than the app ever had. I had no idea I was missing out on all this because typically the app has more than the website... so that’s annoying. I went ahead and deleted the app.

Crap App
Don’t know what has changed, but I can no longer authenticate to the app (website on standard browser works just fine). I’ve deleted and tried everything I can think of. The technical support just changed my password - that I told worked just fine on website - and offered no other help. I’m a huge fan of my subscription to Winc, but I feel limited without the app that I was accustomed to using. Please get a decent developer to fix.
