Waste of your time! At least don’t waste your money!

Since a couple of weeks, I’ve been trying to verify my identity through the app as a new customer, but the app crashes with a coding error. Support has been contacted and informed since day one, but nobody has contacted me. Most important, the error has NOT been fixed, even with the new update.
The response from the customer support “We’re unable to identify you…” which is a copy and paste to every critical review, is a joke! A joke is also asking you to contact them through social media for support. I wonder how these clowns got a banking license in the first place!

Don’t use as primary bank

As a wallet it’s fine but taken over a month to get a personal loan…I got a mortgage faster in the uk.

Best bank user interface in UAE

Awesome bank interface, features and trading app

No chat support

Support is very unprofessional

New Account

Excellent service

Actually getting worse!

Where’s your card details?! No one knows. Buried in some menu setting far far away. Is it printed on your card like normal cards.. nope!

All in all money management app

Super easy to navigate. From storing to investing to tracking money, everything can be done here. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your feedback, We're glad you're enjoying our app.

App is getting bloated

Recently the app updates are making the app bloated and difficult to use. Too many ads and pop ups for non relevant features. Inability to use the app with a vpn on or on a call are such silly features with no relevancy to safety. Very short sighted decision that has decreased the usability and simpleness of using the app. Keep is simple wio. Your app was perfect and a breath of fresh air. Don’t make it like other local banking apps full of bloat and poor UX.

Why is Wio good ?

Very easy to use and very cool for kids and adults you can customize your own
cards and you can have people send you money and the app can help you invest

Response from developer

Thank you Salama for your kind words and enjoying our features.

Good app

Easy too use. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the amount of updates, far too many too often.

Response from developer

We hear you. We update the app regularly to keep things secure, smooth, and packed with improvements that give you more control. Your feedback genuinely matters, and we’re always working to strike the right balance between innovation and convenience.

Very annoying log-outs

Recently they introduced VPN protection: if you open the app when VPN is on it doesn’t open up asking to turn VPN off but when you turn it off it log you out and you have to log in again. Very annoying especially for people travelling and using VON abroad frequently.
Also very annoying feature is not being able to instantly transfer efen AED10 to new contacts. Other banks allow small transfers to new contacts before the 4-hour cooldown? Wio doesn’t allow alltogeter which is bery annoying. In western countries you don’t see these features. I hope they chhamge it some day

Thanks for the feedback and rating.

Too many updates

While the app itself works fine, the updates are too frequent. You cannot use the app realistically, on the go, if the update is coming every 1 or 2 days. Causes a lot of issues esp if on cellular data trying to manage something but app won’t open until you update (again!). Delays work and productivity.

Normally apps update after a month or more. Wio, you can do better.
Ridiculous.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Account Frozen Without Explanation

I had been using Wio Bank for almost a year with absolutely no issues and genuinely enjoyed how simple and convenient the app was. Unfortunately, all of that changed about a month ago when my account was suddenly frozen without any explanation.

Since then, I’ve called customer support five separate times, and every single time I receive the same vague response: “Sorry, we are investigating.” No one can tell me why my account is frozen, what triggered it, or when it will be resolved. I can’t use my card, I can’t send money, and I’m left completely in the dark.

The only time I received any written response from them was after filing a complaint with the Central Bank. Even then, their reply was just another generic “we are working on it.” At least the Central Bank informed me that I should expect a response within 30 business days, which is apparently the timeframe Wio has been given to fix the issue — but it’s extremely frustrating that the bank itself provided no clarity at all.

For a digital bank that promotes convenience and transparency, this experience has been the complete opposite. Having your money locked with no explanation and no timeline is incredibly stressful. I can no longer recommend Wio Bank based on what I’ve gone through.

Amazing app

One of the best app and user friendly user interface. Thank you for amazing features.

Response from developer

Thanks for the rating and feedback.

Great but bloated

Super quick and easy but hugely annoying to not be able to (permanently) remove the annoying buttons for “Family”, “Investments” etc. that are utterly inapplicable. Constant reminders for personal loans etc are also frustrating. The lack of ability to customise the interface (just add/remove functions) is poor UX design, and the “cards” button seems to have vanished in the latest update.

WIO Investing Is Not Ready for Public Use – Serious Limitations That Put Customers at Risk

Review:
I have been an active trader for several years—day trading, swing trading, and long-term investing across multiple global platforms. I recently decided to try WIO’s new “WIO Investing” product, and the experience has been extremely concerning from both a risk-management and operational standpoint.

After purchasing nearly $300,000 worth of shares through WIO, I attempted to sell the position during a time-sensitive market move. Only then did I discover—without any prior notice—that WIO limits customers to selling a maximum of 50,000 shares per transaction (and effectively per day).

There was no warning before buying, no mention of this limitation during order placement, and no disclosure in the app that selling is restricted in this manner. Anyone with trading experience understands that liquidity and exit flexibility are non-negotiable in any investment platform. Allowing customers to buy large positions freely while restricting their ability to exit those positions is both illogical and potentially dangerous.

I contacted WIO’s support immediately and escalated the matter to their investment team. Despite acknowledging the urgency of the issue, no one followed up for two weeks. When I contacted them again, a manager simply stated that this limitation was “company policy,” without offering any explanation for why the platform allows unlimited buying but severely restricted selling.

This raises a critical question:
What happens if a customer invests hundreds of thousands—or millions—and the stock drops sharply?
Under WIO’s current restrictions, users would be unable to liquidate quickly, potentially incurring massive losses through no fault of their own other than relying on WIO’s platform.

From my experience, WIO appears to be launching products too quickly without the necessary infrastructure, safeguards, customer support, or basic trading features that every other established brokerage provides (Interactive Brokers, Robinhood, Fidelity, etc.).
No reputable brokerage limits your ability to sell your own positions in this way.

WIO’s customer service has also been consistently slow, unresponsive, and difficult to escalate, which only compounds the risk of using their investment product.

I previously recommended WIO to others, but after this experience, I cannot continue to do so.
WIO Investing is not ready for public use and poses real financial risk due to poorly designed policies, a lack of transparency, and inadequate customer support.

Until these issues are addressed, I strongly advise traders and investors to avoid using WIO Investing. The platform needs significant improvements before it can responsibly support users’ financial decisions.

Worst Customer Service

First of all they didn’t contact me for many days for my ticket created. Then all of a sudden they marked the ticket as resolved despite the issue isn’t resolved.
