Awful
This used to be one of my favorite games. Now it is awful and clearly a cash grab. They limit how many games you can play but will start your game and count it when there are only 2 seconds left in the game. Not really fair to count it when I didn’t really get to play. The price is too high for a word game. Not worth it for the $ and the free version is terrible. Don’t waste your time.

No fun anymore!
I loved this game for years but now I do not even get passed. the colored opening screen so I can't even play anymore!

Used to play this for hours but now there's endless demands to pay cash or to watch ads. Also you usually get no credit even if you do watch the ads!
I can’t play the game.
When I first logged in, I had to watch videos to get tickets to play the game, which I really didn’t mind, but it’ll just be easier if it already had some tickets available. After watching those videos for tickets, I couldn’t even play the game. Everytime I would click “join” it will just show me the Home Screen over and over. I tried deleting the app and trying again but it keeps repeating itself.

Would be 5 stars but…
I love this game, i’ve been playing it for years. It’s one of the most addictive and fun word games i’ve ever played BUT where it loses stars for me is the fact that I pay ($2 weekly) for premium but every other day it acts as if i’m not subscribed and will limit me to the free version where you only have 5 “tickets”. Meaning I can only play my favorite game for about 5 minutes until I’m done for the day. It’s very annoying, even deleting and reinstalling doesn’t help as well. Whenever premium does work though, it’s very fun. Other nit-picks I have is that not many people play so the leaderboards are small and user’s taglines are 9 times out of 10 awkwardly political. Please fix my premium issues and I will give 5 stars

Great game
Good Word game online
Long time fan, but...
I've been playing WH for over a decade so I don't mind watching a few ads to pay the creators for literally hundreds of hours of MMP word fun, but sometimes I don't get credit for ads I've watched and that's seriously annoying.
A couple of times it's seems like maybe I was credited (8/5 games available) but after the first game the bonus games vanished.
Not sure if the app is still being maintained but I sure hope so!

Fun while it lasts.
What was once a great game has been fatally compromised by the limits on the free version.
Ridiculously expensive.
Played Word Hero for years and always installed it on my Android phones and tablets. Wanted to download it on my iPad.
Unfortunately, the developers think they've coded ChatGPT or something because they want $50 a year. Are you serious?!

Not worth it, unless you pay
The game has this thing where it inserts you in the middle of a game, no matter how much time has past. So you might enter a game with fifteen seconds left on the clock. This was fine, except now you need to pay in order to have unlimited games. Otherwise, you only have a couple free games per day. Its really annoying when you only get two free games and one of them is fifteen seconds long. No point in having the app at this point.

I’ve played this game on android for many years. Right before I switched to iOS, Sven updated the look and feel of the game (on android and apple) and moved to a pay to play system. Fine, I’ll pay, I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of wordhero. But I won’t pay for the clunky piece of garbage it is now. Harder to use, less customizable, less clean, bloated. Half the fun was other users and now it’s nearly empty in there. I’d pay to have the old wordhero back.

Used to be a great game. The developers after many years of it being THE BEST WORD GAME absolutely destroyed it!!!!!! I’ve played this game on android for over 10 years & since they updated it I can’t play anymore unless u pay an ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS BOGUS monthly subscription fee which NO1 is going to do Sven! I can only hope u bring back the old versions that THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH!!!!!! Greedy sellouts!

My phone just updated out of nowhere and now you have to pay to play. This is the best game so far; I’m sorry, but I won’t be paying for one more thing.
Update: not at $50. No way!
I’ve enjoyed this game for years and I wouldn’t mind paying something for it but it just went from free with ads across the bottom to $50 a year! No way!

Loved this game in android, not so much on Apple. This game worked flawlessly on android and on my Kindle, it looks a lot glitzier or an iPhone, but the looks are really deceiving. Very often my scores are not included in the final score tally at the end. I have to close the app and restart it and sometimes restart my Wi-Fi and then it will recognize my games. And it usually happens when I have a particularly high score. Additionally there’s functionality in the android version that is not present in this version. For example after scores are tallied in android it tells me what percentage I came in, not so in the Apple version.Love the game just wish it worked on my iPhone.

Buggy iOS app and barriers to play
I already paid to get rid of ads on this app but now they’re back and interfering with gameplay. Sorry, I guess I’m done. If I could give you zero stars at this point, I would.
Update has ruined this game
I have played this game for years and agree with others that it is much better on Android. I opened to play today and now am FORCED to watch a video to play or pay for the games I have played for years. Sadly, I opted to delete this once fun, addicting game.
New update issues.
I’ve been playing this game for a long time. The constant bug issues, game freezes never really bothered me, until they changed it to where you now have to either watch videos or pay them to keep playing. For a free game, I didn’t expect perfection. But until they rid it of the constant crashing and freezing issues, not a dime from me.

Flawless on android
This game is flawless on android. I've kept it on my phone for at least 5 years consistently and is one of the first apps I usually download when I get a new phone. There are some issues on apple.
- my score only shows up on the leader board if it is less than 500, if I get a great score it just shows up as "?" With no score. Half the fun is trying to place top ten
- there are no bonus ball indicators at the top of the game board so if you play with no sound it takes time to figure out if you've got the bonus
