Diabolical ads
I understand playing an ad, or showing an ad, right, but indefinite ads that require interaction/“playing” the ad is just next level. There’s no x that pops up despite waiting over 60 seconds, tapping reveals nothing, it only shows whatever silly goals the new ad dictates. Cannot believe this is the end state of mobile gaming. Installed and uninstalled within fifteen minutes. No thanks.

Almost half or more of active players are actually just bots designed to let you barely win. Finding real human beings is difficult, and they don’t even tell you that these accounts are fake.
Golden Word malfunctions
The third round of golden word always says “no word submitted”, even if I find the golden word. The ads in the app are annoying as all get out, but enjoy the games themselves.
Ads with friends
I played it when it first started and it was a lot of fun. I really loved playing the game and chatting with his friends, etc. Then for some reason, I deleted it.
I downloaded again and tried for a week. How I remember why I deleted it. Instead of being nice clean game it, became a constant stream of ads, annoying to the point that you have to shut down every single move, just to keep moving. And I don’t think paying $10 per month without ads as a decent price. Shame on you for destroying this beautiful game.

Battery draining app
The game is still fun, but it’s very inefficient and drains the battery life of my iPhone 16 Pro Max like no other app.
Respect player choices
Respect player choices to not have to interact with people they do not know and are not friends with, and let us opt out of matching with random people in settings. Please also address the app size since this app now takes 2.5 GB for no clear reason.
Too many ads
Great game except….Ads between every game?? Most games I play have the option to buy out of ads for good. But this charges $9.99 to cut out ads for only one month? Really??
Login stuck for a month now
Cannot log in on my devices. Keep getting the same message from “help” download/reinstall blah blah blah and it doesn’t work. Can play only on my friends android . Wish they would help. I’m on level 33.
Words
It has been fun to. But now it seems to have changed. Seem like Muslims are either own it. The words now are many Arabic words that the average AMERICAN would not know not fun anymore
Foreign words
What is going on wit this game? My word today was ennui. I had to look it up because I, like most average people who haven’t mastered any foreign languages, this one was a head scratcher. Since when do put obscure foreign words in an English speaking puzzle? This is very frustrating!
Monopoly Ad
Ridiculous to have to to touch the screen six times to get out of the ad.
Update always needed
Not only do I feel like I have to update this app every other day but the Temu ad is ridiculous. You have the WHOLE page to click the ad and only a small corner to click the X yet the darn ad takes you a pop up that says cancel or confirm and even if you hit cancel it auto takes you to the app. I have to force close the app every time just to get past the ad. At least the rest of the ads (while annoyingly not of interest) close when you tap the X. The Temu ad is redundant and making me want to just delete this app after having it over 12 years.

Terrible long ads and now the ads above the game are practically covering the game. Very frustrating!!!
Piss off with the ads
Fun game. The only downside is the scummy ads that force you to completely exit the game and re-open it to continue your game.
So unhappy
A group of friends play Words W Friends that has developed even deeper friendships. This morning (8/29/2026) the ads were titled "You don’t have to pay to Watch". It showed an extremely busty woman sticking out her breasts in a vulgar way. (Twice and much worse the 2nd time). I’ve stopped the games and I can't, in good conscience, play it again. I will tell everyone why. Isn’t there something you can change?

Also I had to delete app on iPad and now it doesn’t show same games I’m playing on iPhone and now the games aren’t showing it’s my turn to play and won’t let me play
I just recently lost all my games thought could delete app and sign back in with Facebook. It all games are gone and still games show me notifications but then I go to play and it shows opponents turn
