Hard to find host
I couldn’t get a single place to go to the hosts don’t respond at all I have applied to a lot a barely got few replies

Die App ist genau wie die Website sehr zu empfehlen, nur eine kleine Sache: Am iPad gibt es die App nicht im Querformat wie die Website, sondern nur als hochskalierte Handyversion. Könntet ihr Querformat hinzufügen?

App developers can’t be volunteers
Great website , great concept , but the app is horrendous , the UI is bad and glitchy , there’s also the classic case of host not responding , a system should be designed to penalise host won don’t respond
Very unsafe
A hub for human traffickers to find easy prey. The people/girls who use this app are not from wealthy families hence why they are targeted and easily disappeared. I would not recommend you use this service.
Simply need to add the family dot.
As me and my family are trying to use this. I have to go to the website to see if there’s a tick or not in the can host family’s box. I have put the filter on but it’s not perfect. Thanks.

Enjoying it so far!
We are in the planning stages of our first workaway trip to Vietnam. We aren’t the usual school leavers heading away on their OE as we are in our 50’s. We have our first workaway booked already. Can’t wait to experience more.

It should be way way cheaper and they could get a lot more users and monetize by using ads or something.

Good Company, Terrible App
The app is a buggy, laggy mess. Unable to scroll most of the time and other times it fails to load. For as much money this company brings in, you would think they would at least spend some money making the app halfway decent.

NICHT FÜR JAPAN
Ich wollte mit der App eigentlich nach Japan und dort work and traveln. Es gibt nichts und die Hälfte von dem was es gibt ist nicht mehr verfügbar oder extrem negativ bewertet. Generell sind Bewertungen von der Website selbst extrem reguliert. Sie prahlen mit positiven Bewertungen aber negative werden gelöscht. Auch die Website funktioniert auf dem Computer kaum. Man kann sich nicht einloggen. Einfache Knöpfe funktionieren nicht etc. bite bitte haltet Abstand von dieser App wenn ihr nach Japan wollt.

annoying spam filter
The spam filter is not necessary and often quite annoying. You can read all the descriptions of profiles you want, you’re still the same person who’s probably looking for about the same type of work in the same region, so really changing the message every time is not necessary, especially since so often it won’t even be answered. Otherwise, the app is quite easy to use and has a nice concept.

I got workaway and within a week i met my first host by complete fate on a ferry to the island they live on before they even saw my text, they were able to connect me with more host in my next journey and then again and so forth. Workaway is great to network meet new people and make new connections.

Don’t trust Workaway
It is a scam. I paid 69€ ( couple account ) and no Host answered to my request even if they put the availability in the days I have asked for. When I asked for a refund they replied with a long message full of “suggestions” on how to properly use this application. I also talked them via other channels and I’m still waiting to get my money back. With 69€ I could have stayed 3 days in a comfortable hostel, blame on you!
