Game Changer

This app is making a huge difference in my life. I’m an amputee, wheelchair bound and learning to walk with a prosthetic leg. The developer of this app really did consider those of us with special needs when creating this app.

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for your review. I’ve put a lot of work into making PB accessible and inclusive to everyone, so I’m mortified to hear that you had issues. It works with all apps and devices that support Apple Health, like Apple Watch, Strava, Nike, and hundreds more. In terms of what workouts are supported, everything that Apple Health supports should work, which includes several exercises suitable for a range of handicaps. I’d love to hear more from you about the specific issues you encountered, and learn how I can do better. If you’d like to, please email me at shaun@getpersonalbest.com. Thanks again.

App does not allow me to change the day of the week. I want to start my workouts.

No response from app.

Good App for Stats

I like this app and find myself referencing it regularly. It’s nice to see what types of workouts I’m doing, how often and to compare. Also great to be able to plan a workout based on intentional improvement. Love the addition of goals too. The one small detail that’s borderline annoying is that the app uses the generic category name of the workout rather than letting us see custom workout names. Being able to see which strength, cardio or yoga or “other” workout I did would be supremely helpful. When I think about not using this app anymore, it’s out of frustration of having to remember which workout I did or go check an app that uses the custom name but come back to PB and see the stats. Next level usefulness would be stats within workout categories based on those workout names. For example, I know I did 25 runs last month but it’s be awesome to see that 10 of those were Tempo Run II, 10 were Long Slow Distance I, 5 of those were the 200m Interval workout and the remainder were the Fun Run - Park workout.
