Isn’t consistent
I’ve been using the device for a condo I own and it’s now been three years that I’ve had Wynd Sentry. The last two months or so have been plagued with glitches on accurate reports. Instead of “updated now” or at least a few minutes ago, it’s been “updated two days ago”, not exactly helpful or reliable. Customer support takes days to reply now, and their suggestion is “give us your login and password”, which is sketchy. Told them just that and they replied several days later that it’s now fixed.
It is not.
I’m paying for no service, and that is ridiculous.

Love this product
This product has worked for me every time. I had someone be dishonest and tell me they were cooking bacon and that caused the device to go off. The next day after they checked out, we discovered they had burned up a frying pan by accidentally leaving the stove eye on, and that had smoked up the property for over an hour. By me contacting the guest, they were able to go inside and resolve the situation before it got worse.
So this device not only alerts you of recreational smoking, but also fire hazards. It also alerts you when the incident clears up which is very helpful.
For us, the device has never went off due to regular cooking but it will alert you if something is about to be or is on fire, such as a stove eye being left on and burning up a pan.

Great for tenants too
I purchased this smoke/noise detector to prove to my landlord that cannabis smoke was entering my apartment. She had been, and still is denying there was smoking going on. Since sending her daily records of smoke entering my suite the incidents have diminished. The landlord still hasn’t stopped tenants from smoking, it’s still going on, that’s how talented she is. I know have all the proof I need to win in court.
My landlord just sent me notice construction is starting next week, I sent her notice that I would use any and all Wynd records of excessive noise in court.

Rental Property Must Have!
We absolutely love this device.
It serves many needs from guest comfort and safety to security. Wynd Sentry alerts via text messages and email which lets us know quickly if there is an issue at the property.
The smoke alerts alone are worth the price of the unit and monitoring as it can distinguish between smoke coming from cooking, tobacco, vaping or marijuana.
I can’t say enough about the value of the Wynd Sentry system.

Works great but it takes effort to mount and set up..
I really like my Sentries it allows me to monitor my rental property when ever I’m out of town.
It does take some work and patience to ensure that the USB connector seats properly in the unit when it’s wall mounted. Sometimes the USB connector doesn’t align well and it has to be adjusted.
I also noticed that my units have to connect to the 2.4Ghz IOT network of my mesh router network to work and be set up properly. It for some reason wouldn’t connect to the 5Ghz network that I run.
Once I got it connected via the USB cable and on my 2.4Ghz network it’s really been great to use. I plan to use them in other rental properties in the future.
