I don’t even remember how many years Yahoo and I have been friends, but I love Yahoo and that’s all there is to it.
The non necessity garbage
Ive used Yahoo for a couple decades for email. Now I have the “let’s catch up” notifications and “streaks” on my app. This is absolute garbage and has no need for being on here. Whatever happened to just getting your email? Why do we need rewarded for checking our email? All these extra distractions are ridiculous and I wish Yahoo would just go back to giving me my regular emails without the flash.

Desktop version allows ads to separate folders

Annoying pop up
I don’t even care about the ads. What I care about is the box warning that randomly and frequently pops up over my screen. It says: “Enter the Yahoo password for (my email address) in settings”. And 2 choices -Settings or Cancel
The PW is in place correctly as my mail comes through just fine. I did change my PW not using the Settings choice in the prompt. Husband thinks it’s a fishing scam. How do I get this pop up to go away and do you think it’s a fishing infection thru the Yahoo Mail app? iPhone15Pro

Inappropriate adds
Yahoo Mail app keeps showing inappropriate adds in the free version. I don’t mind seeing some neutral adds but constantly showing me irrelevant and inspected adds is really beyond annoying. There should be a way to turn off such inappropriate adds.
Difficult to navigate
For me it’s not easy to find my folders

The app used to work great. Now it randomly divides my emails into 4 different boxes

Issue with app not opening
I have an iPhone 13 Pro with the latest IOS version 26.6. The app no longer opens at all. Only thing that works is if I delete and redownload the app, but it will eventually fail to open again
Search features?
This app has no search features. Like, you can’t search for keywords or search for only starred emails. What is happening??? Come on, Yahoo. A little effort will get your app to stop sucking.

New format
I hate the new yahoo mail format. Where all the emails in a string are connected. It’s horrible. I try to forward the top email and all the replies snd everything go with it. So annoying. Separate the out again please

I just want to delete my emails from the app. I just want to access my email on the app like I have for the last decade.. and yet they complicate this app at every opportunity and it’s ridiculous. Spam in my inbox, important emails in my spam! I can’t delete emails without the app refreshing and making it impossible to delete. It’s basically unusable. And it feels scammy now! Do better, Yahoo! I don’t want games or streaks or AI! I want yahoo from 2016. Get it together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
