The app works well for standard massage clients however I have been unable to check out of medical massage appointments without completing the entire SOAP note. I have updated, deleted, re-installed the app and I have reported to help desk as well as to the help team every time they reach out to me to confirm if I’ve completed the session. I’ve been informed this issue is being worked on.

AI summary fully inaccurate
Support for providers is very difficult to obtain, particularly with medical massage. No live support is available. Responses to inquiries or requests for assistance, if answered at all, rarely happen in under 4 days. Much goes ignored though.

It is a great way to earn extra income. Unfortunately though the pay isn’t great. Cost of living, supplies considered, gasoline, traffic, life, the payout is really low. There should be a much better payout to therapists after 7pm. There should be support available, and enough of it, while zeel still allows therapists to go to client homes. Support is limited
Usually clients are easy to deal with but when they are not, which is a relatively small number, support is difficult to obtain. I recommend if going to a new client, do not park in their building if access is restricted and the gate needs to be unlocked with a clicker.
When taking medical appointments, be sure to speak with the patient and learn details of street parking and also if they give the impression of being respectful of your time and are able to keep their appointments, or at least can give you a 24 hour notice of cancellation. If they aren’t home when you arrive for their appointment, there is no “no show” or “last minute cancellation” payment given, like with regular members.
This is a great way to make a little extra money for a therapist, but medical appointments can result in a lot of extra work, being connected with patients who have PTSD or other psychological traumas. The work can be rewarding, immensely so, but there can also be unexpected issues that not everyone is prepared to encounter.

Glitches galore, engineering issues
As much work as I can count on getting from zeal, 99% of which is working with veterans and requires documentation on electronic medical forms, the truth is this app is overwhelmingly underwhelming. As an independent contractor, the amount of issues I encounter with documentation and the high number of requests made by zeal to help them identify and isolate the problem is sadly, astonishing. Adding to that, glitches don’t really improve and signing in becomes more complicated over time. But the most annoying detail is how often medical documentation disappears altogether and has to be replaced, often hours or even a day after the session was completed and more patients have been seen. Engineering seems inadequate and this is highly disappointing as I seem to care more than zeel itself does.

I’ve been a provider on Zeel for about 4 1/2 years and the app now is way better than before. There’s definitely been lots of updates, especially as a medical massage. Therapist working with the VA clients through Zelle. It cuts out a lot of the confusion with working with insurance and it’s starting to become steady income.
