Zweitwohnung helps you keep clear, organized records for a work-related second household in Germany. Record calendar and absence days, arrivals, departures, trips home and return trips, provided meals, accommodation, furnishings, moving costs, and other expenses. Select multiple calendar days at once to record full-day absences. Invoices and receipts can be attached directly to an expense from Photos or Files. Manage multiple three-month meal allowance periods and quickly switch between them in the calendar. Each period can have its own main home, second home, work location, and distance. You can also document a new period resulting from a different work location or a sufficiently long interruption. The annual overview creates a clear, non-binding estimate based on your entries. It can account for meal allowance rates, meal reductions, period-specific distances, year-based mileage rules, and your saved accommodation cap. Built-in checks highlight missing information and possible duplicate entries. Preview your annual PDF report before exporting it and choose which meal allowance periods to include. Attached image and PDF receipts can be incorporated into the report. A CSV preview is also available for reviewing raw data. PDF and CSV files can then be shared with Numbers, Excel, or other apps through the iOS share sheet. All records and attachments remain stored locally on your device. There is no Mathricks account, cloud database, or server-side storage of your records. Zweitwohnung supports the private preparation of your tax records.
