Rugby Prep's programs come from Sam Durieux, a strength and conditioning coach who specialises in rugby: a master's degree in sports performance training and optimisation, strength and conditioning coach for the LOU Rugby under-18 squad, and head of strength and conditioning at the Lyon elite youth academy, from 2022 to 2024. You are not downloading a catalogue of exercises: you are following his method, calibrated to your position, your level, and where you are in the season. THE METHOD OF A RUGBY SPECIALIST Build power without losing speed. Absorb the load of a full season. Come back stronger after a break. These principles are not improvised: they come from working with players on the ground, and they are what structures every cycle you receive. A PROGRAM BUILT FOR YOU A few questions about your position, level, goals, and point in the season, and you get a complete multi-week program: cycles, sessions, exercises, loads, and rest periods. Nothing generic — all of it calibrated for you. GUIDED SESSIONS, START TO FINISH Start your session and follow it set by set. Built-in timer, demonstration videos, and a player that stays visible even when minimized. You always know what to do, and how much. TECHNIQUE EXPLAINED, NOT JUST SHOWN For every exercise: the right movement, the common mistakes, the points to watch. That is what separates a session done from a session done well — and what keeps you off the treatment table. ANSWERS WHEN YOU NEED THEM A question about an exercise, a doubt about your technique, a session to adapt? The in-app assistant answers immediately, taking into account your program, your history, and how you have been feeling. YOUR PROGRAM FOLLOWS YOUR FORM At the end of each session you log your fatigue, how hard it felt, and your condition that day. The next cycle takes it in: the load adjusts to what your body actually absorbs, not to what a plan assumed. FULL PROGRESS TRACKING Session history, volume and intensity, physical tests (speed, power, endurance), and weight tracking. You see in black and white what you have built, week after week. BUILT FOR RUGBY, NOT ADAPTED TO IT Power, speed, agility, core strength, endurance: exercises chosen for the demands of the game, organized by blocks (strength, cardio, technique). WHY THIS APP EXISTS In Sam Durieux's own words: "After several years working in elite rugby, I chose to put what I know at the service of amateur players, with programs built for those profiles." Available in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Société Générale Sevens at none against Rugby Prep's 1. Société Générale Sevens also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). Rugby Prep's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 12 months). On price and monetization model there is nothing between them.
