Vibration meter is an app called seismograph or seismometer, which measures the strength of vibration, quakes, earthquakes, vibrations of the human body or any other objects around you. Our app allows for detecting and recording of seismic waves generated by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, avalanches and other sources of vibration and shocks. Accelerometer in your mobile phone is used for detection of vibrations and measurement analysis. Graph presents a record of the ground motion at a measuring point. Ground movement or an object is presented as a function of time in the three Cartesian axes, with the z axis perpendicular to the Earth's surface and the x- and y- axes parallel to the surface. Mercalli intensity scale is a seismic scale used for measuring the intensity of an earthquake. It measures the effects of an earthquake and it is distinct from the moment of magnitude. Richter Scale assigns a magnitude number to quantify the energy released by an earthquake. Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) is equal to the maximum ground acceleration that occurred during earthquake shaking at location. PGA is equal to the amplitude of the largest absolute acceleration recorded on an accelerogram at a site during a particular earthquake. In this app we use Instrumental Intensity Scale (developed by The United States Geological Survey) which maps peak ground acceleration and peak ground velocity on an intensity scale similar to the felt Mercalli Scale. These values are used to create shake maps by seismologists on around the world. Mercalli Intensity Scale distinguishes the following levels of vibration and impact damage: I. Instrumental - Not felt. Recorded by seismographs. II. Weak - Felt only on top floors of high buildings. III. Slight - Felt indoors, like a passing light truck. IV. Moderate - Windows, doors rattle. Like passing train. V. Rather Strong - Felt by all. Small objects upset. VI. Strong - Books off shelves. Trees shake. Damage. VII. Very Strong - Difficult to stand. Buildings damaged. VIII. Destructive - Significant damage. Trees broken. IX. Violent - General panic. Serious damage. Cracks. X. Intense - Most buildings destroyed. Rails bent. XI. Extreme - Rails bent greatly. Pipelines destroyed. XII. Catastrophic - Near total damage. This app allows you monitor and share the results of your measurements with other users. Measure and monitor all vibration and shocks using smartphone or tablet!

About

SKF Machine train alignment

Features

The Machine train shaft alignment app is designed to be used with the SKF Shaft Alignment Tool TKSA 71. Together, the TKSA 71 and the app form an alignment system that allows the alignment of machine trains with multiple connected machines in an intuitive and easy way. The system uses line laser to PSD technology that enables highly accurate and reliable shaft alignments. The TKSA 71 and this app communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth®. Without the hardware the app can nonetheless be used, as it features a fully functional demonstration allowing the complete alignment process of a machine train to be experienced before purchasing the TKSA 71. KEY FEATURES: • Very easy-to-use – The Machine train shaft alignment app focuses on making the alignment tasks of several couplings as easy as possible and enabling accurate machine train shaft alignments.  • Quick Three Point Alignment Measurements - Follow the guidance of the app and perform a full 9-12-3 measurement or perform a limited rotation measurement with as little as 40 degrees of total rotation. • Selectable stationary feet – The alignment process records the complete alignment situation and allows the operator to select two pairs of stationary feet. The app then calculates the required machine movement for all feet while keeping the stationary feet pairs at the same location. The operator can easily find the best alignment strategy by selecting different pairs of stationary feet and checking the required movement for the alignment correction. • The machine train app is designed for machine trains of three machines, covering common machine trains like motor – gearbox – application combinations. • Demonstration mode – The Machine train shaft alignment app offers a fully functional demonstration mode allowing the complete alignment process to be experienced before purchasing the TKSA 71. • Automatic alignment report – Automatically generated alignment reports give a complete overview of the alignment process and results. The reports can be customized with additional notes, a machine picture and a signature. The report can easily be shared via email or cloud services. • Easy to follow explanatory videos – Short explanatory videos are available in the help section of the app and show in easy steps how to set up and perform accurate alignment measurements. • 3D Animations – 3D animations intuitively guide the user through the alignment process, allowing accurate shaft alignment to be performed in a very easy way. • Machine library and QR code scanner – Helps keeping track of the machines that have been measured. Machine information like distances, the machine picture, and other details are saved for each machine and can be reused the next time the same machine is measured. QR codes can be scanned to identify a machine and quickly retrieve its details. The library can also be used for easy access to all the reports generated for each machine in one place. HARDWARE – SKF Shaft Alignment Tool TKSA 71:
The SKF TKSA 71 system uses a pair of measurement units that are combined with laser transmitter and detectors to measure and correct shaft alignment with high accuracy and reliability. The data is transferred in real time through Bluetooth® 4.0 LE to the app.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This app is designed to be used with the SKF Shaft Alignment Tool TKSA 71 hardware. The SKF TKSA 71 can be purchased separately from your local SKF Authorized Distributor.
