Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: burgerme at 4.0 against McDonald’s's 3.4. burgerme also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). McDonald’s's advantage is ratings volume (6.9K vs 2) and chart position (#111 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
burgerme holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McDonald’s has 6.9K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of McDonald’s's written reviews are positive against 48% of burgerme's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
McDonald’s ships an update fortnightly, burgerme every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
