LA Wallet will allow you to keep a digital representation of your current Louisiana-issued state ID or driver's license. The app will generate a unique image that is 100% Legal for driving purposes per Louisiana law of Act 625 of the 2016 session and approved by the Louisiana ATC for age-restricted purchases at various local restaurants, bars, and retail outlets. Once a user activates their current, valid license in LA Wallet, the digital driver’s license is valid for the life of the user’s current identity credential issuance. When the user’s physical license expires, they must renew their license with the OMV or through the LA Wallet app, if eligible. Additionally, LA Wallet offers the paid service VerifyYou™ Pro, an age-verification tool that helps keep businesses ATC compliant when offering home delivery of age-restricted goods.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Compass Time holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.2K and 839 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of LA Wallet's written reviews are positive against 10% of Compass Time's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
