ID.me Authenticator is a simple and free multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution for your ID.me account, protecting your account from hackers by adding an additional layer of security. ID.me Authenticator generates secure 2-step verification tokens on your device, including time-based one-time passwords, (TOTP), push notifications, or mobile security keys, to verify your identity. When logging in, after entering in your password, you will be asked for an additional way to prove it is really you. Either approve the notification sent to the ID.me Authenticator by tapping ‘Yes’ to approve if it’s you (push notification), or enter the verification code generated by the app (TOTP).

3 issues- Installed for a single app authentication and has now locked up everything
- I got this app and needed it to keep my stores open as soon as I tried it it didn't work. I ended up downloading it and I re-downloaded it because it's been eight days and I need to get in my store still doesn't work no support helps nothing, don't waste your time or money. It's just gonna end up at frustration.
- I put in my password, and it didn't work, and after doing this a number of times, I give up..I wrote my password down, but it still didn't work so I'm done
