Sofal is a pottery studio notebook for makers who want their clay, glaze, photos, and firing history in one organized place. Track each piece from wet clay to finished work. Save before-and-after photos, clay body, glaze choices, wheel, weight, dimensions, tags, notes, firing details, and current stage. Build your own studio material library. Scan glaze labels and clay bags with the camera, review OCR-suggested fields, and save useful details for future pieces. Sofal keeps the core workflow local-first and iCloud-ready. Your pottery records live in the app database and can sync through your private iCloud account when CloudKit is available. Optional online AI research can be enabled in Settings if you bring your own provider API key. When enabled, Sofal can send selected OCR text and label images to your chosen provider to help fill material metadata. This is off by default and always reviewable before saving. Designed for potters, ceramic artists, studio assistants, teachers, and hobbyists who want a cleaner way to remember what clay, glaze, firing, and process created each result.
