Address the miscommunication between your gut and brain. Designed for people living with IBS, functional dyspepsia (FD), GERD, bloating symptoms, and other gut–brain disorders - as well as those seeking additional support alongside IBD care - Nerva is a personalized gut–brain program that supports symptom management through daily sessions, practical tools, and structured guidance. Target the root cause Many people spend years cutting out foods in an effort to calm their gut - a difficult path that can miss what’s really driving symptoms. In disorders of gut–brain interaction (DGBIs), the root cause is gut–brain hypersensitivity. After a trigger like illness, antibiotics, or prolonged stress, the nerves in the gut can become over-reactive. Even once the gut tissue heals, the nervous system may keep the alarm turned up. Normal digestion, gas, or movement are then misread as danger - leading to pain, bloating, reflux, urgency, constipation, or diarrhea. Diets and medications can reduce symptoms temporarily, but they don’t retrain this signaling system. That’s why symptoms often return or shift over time. Lasting relief means calming the nervous system and restoring healthy gut–brain communication - where the symptoms actually start. How Nerva helps Nerva is a structured gut–brain program that helps you practice brain-gut techniques shown to support a calmer response to gut sensations. Over the program you'll learn to: - Respond differently to uncomfortable gut signals - Practice calming the gut–brain stress response - Build daily habits that support digestive comfort Tailored to you No two guts are the same. Nerva adapts your program to your symptoms, triggers, and progress - using AI to adjust the coaching and guidance as you go. The sessions, the tools you receive, and the coaching you follow are all shaped around your experience. Evidence-based Unlike most apps, Nerva is built on clinical research. In a randomized controlled trial at Monash University, Nerva helped 81% of people significantly manage their gastrointestinal symptoms. Since then, more than 300,000 people have used Nerva, and over 11,000 healthcare providers recommend it. Features of Nerva - Daily 15-minute sessions designed to retrain gut-brain miscommunication - Flare-up tools for pain, bloating, constipation, reflux and diarrhea - Long-term maintenance plan to keep symptoms under control after the program - AI personalization to tailor the program to your selected triggers and progress Who is the team behind Nerva? Nerva was built by Dr. Simone Peters, GI psychophysiologist, together with clinicians, dietitians, and researchers. Many of us live with gut conditions ourselves. Your labs were normal. Your days weren’t. MeNome is a clinical record and a pattern engine, held by the patient. It was built for the person who has been sick for years, has a folder of results that all came back “normal,” and has stopped expecting to be believed. Forty-five seconds a night builds a dated, structured record of your illness as it is actually lived. Every night an engine built for clinical research reads that record against every night before it. By about two weeks you have something no memory can give you: the dates, the pattern, and one plain sentence for the next appointment. THE RECORD Five symptoms on a clinical scale: pain, bloating, nausea, fatigue, bowel function. Then food, fluid, sleep, mood and a note if you have them. Every entry is dated the night it is made. Nothing is reconstructed later. The vocabulary follows the Rome criteria, the international standard gastroenterologists use, so the record speaks a clinician’s language without asking you to learn it. THE ENGINE MeNome does not count your symptoms. It reads them together: which move with which, which lead and which follow, what precedes your worst days, and whether the system is holding its line or beginning to break apart. It says “still calibrating” while the record is short rather than inventing a finding. BELLYSCORE Your gut on a 0 to 100 scale anchored to your own baseline, reported in four bands: Steady, Sensitive, Strained, Flared. It measures you against you, never against a healthy stranger. THE MAP Six connected systems, redrawn every night from your record. Your symptoms never stayed in one specialty. Neither does the map. THE PHYSIOLOGICAL READ An optional thirty-second read of your nervous system through the camera and microphone. Nothing to wear, nothing to buy. Skip it whenever you like. THE SENTENCE, AND THE EXPORT “This is the fourth episode in ninety days. Here are the dates.” When the record has shape, MeNome puts it into one plain sentence with the dates behind it, and exports a summary a clinician reads in a minute. We cannot promise how the visit goes. We can promise you will not walk in from memory. THE FORECAST (PREMIUM) With enough record, the engine projects your own pattern forward: the conditions that have preceded your worst days, and the direction the coming weeks are likely to take if nothing changes. Drawn only from your history, stated with its uncertainty. It is not a diagnosis. NO STREAKS, NO SHAME Miss a night, miss a week. Nothing resets, nothing scolds. A record with gaps is still a record, and still more than memory. YOURS Your record belongs to you. Never sold, never traded, shared only when you choose to export it. Delete your account and it is deleted. BUILT BY An emergency physician who has said “your labs are normal” to people he knew were not fine, with an independent clinical advisory board across emergency medicine, gastroenterology, pain research and patient experience. FREE TO START The nightly entry, BellyScore, the physiological read and the map are free. MeNome Premium adds the forecast, the full nutrient picture and the clinician export: $9.99 a month or $89 a year after a two-week trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Anyone who joined while the app was fully free keeps the access they were promised, for life. MeNome is a wellness tool. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease and is not a substitute for medical care. Severe, sudden or worsening symptoms belong in the emergency department.
