ErgIntz turns a Concept2 erg into a proper interval machine. Build a workout on your phone, send it to the PM5 over Bluetooth, and row it with live targets, countdowns, and spoken cues — no button-pressing on the monitor mid-piece. BUILD REAL WORKOUTS • Distance, time, and calorie intervals, with fixed or open-ended rest • Repeats and variable structures — 6×500m with 1:00 rest, pyramids, tabatas • Targets as a pace, as watts, or as a percentage of your 5 km power • Import a workout straight from a screenshot ROW WITH THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER • Live pace, power, stroke rate, and heart rate from the PM5 and your heart-rate monitor • Work and rest countdowns, with audio cues so the phone can stay on the floor • Pace or watts everywhere — your choice, applied across the whole app • Every colour graded against your 5 km best, so intensity reads at a glance KEEP EVERY SESSION • Full history with splits, laps, and per-interval averages • Personal bests per workout • A share card for the sessions worth showing CONNECTED, IF YOU WANT • An account is just an email address — no password, and the app works without one • Connect your Concept2 Logbook and every session lands there automatically — and Concept2 forwards it on to Garmin Connect and Strava • Join a club to row shared workouts and see who turned up on the boards ErgIntz works with the Concept2 Performance Monitor 5 (PM5) on RowErg, SkiErg, and BikeErg, connecting over Bluetooth. Bluetooth heart-rate monitors are supported.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ErgIntz at none against ErgZone's 2. ErgIntz also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). ErgZone's advantage is device support (4 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 17.0). On price and ads there is nothing between them.
