Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: BÉIS at 62% against Booked by Aurora's 17%. BÉIS also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.1) and ratings volume (11K vs 28). Booked by Aurora's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
BÉIS holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BÉIS has 11K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of Booked by Aurora's written reviews are positive against 62% of BÉIS's.
Booked by Aurora ships an update every 3 weeks, BÉIS fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
