Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Viya at 4.6 against Live Aldar's 3.3. Viya also leads on ratings volume (355 vs 38). Live Aldar's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 30%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Viya holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Viya has 355 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Viya's written reviews are positive against 60% of Live Aldar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Viya ships an update every 6 weeks, Live Aldar every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
