Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Sonu at 72% against Elonga's 44%. Sonu also leads on ratings volume (232 vs 23). Elonga's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Elonga holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sonu has 232 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Elonga's written reviews are positive against 72% of Sonu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Elonga ships an update every 11 days, Sonu every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
