App used to be great now confusing

I’ll say it at the beginning and end here. The product is great. It works. The app has declined. It used to be intuitive, simple and straightforward. After configuration, each session started with analyzing congestion then it turned on the front facing camera to confirm correct fit, then session. The analysis takes longer now, i suspect due to the new animations that appear. Then there is no fit check!!! The home page/dashboard is now full of large buttons with graphics and not all of them are intuitive. The Sonu band connect button is a brick once you’ve connected it instead of being active so you can disconnect or at least it should provide feedback that it is not going to respond. The SONUcast button is weird. I get it is a weather based thing. But i thought it might have to do with podcasts or sending data somewhere. It also takes forever for the sonucast to load. I’m unhappy with the app but still love the product.

New app is bad

The Sonu band itself I love and have been using for almost two years. But whoever at Sonu vibe-coded this app clearly skipped massive details. Things that were easily accessible in the previous app are now entirely gone. Core functionality also got buried.

I can’t see basic things like battery life; there’s 0 warning about audio being too high; and the alignment check from pre test (to make sure you have it placed well) has been replaced with a manual voice-breath test. Pretty sure that test does nothing anyway. Give me back all of the of the old features, I do not care about my streaks or tracking metrics.

Response from developer

Update - Please update the app to the latest for the audio level indicator. Other improvements are slated for the next update. Thank you for the feedback. The alignment check is available under Account -> My SONU Band -> Band Fit Guide. This guide will show up before treatment as long as you have not opted to skip it permanently. The SONUCheck voice analysis is optional and can be skipped each time (Skip to treatment on top right of the screen) or permanently from the Account preferences section.

I liked the old version of the app better

This new version of the app is so much more trouble than the old version. I keep needing to put in a username and password then go back into my iOS setting to reconnect the band. I am spending far too much time messing around with this thing just trying to get it to work. The old app just worked flawlessly every time.

Loved before the update

Loved before the app update, now it makes it difficult to use. Im unsure why the developers would change the app completely it worked perfectly fine before, now I cant use it on my iPad, I have to sign in every time, it’s more complicated to use, please change it it’s not user friendly at all I was a big fan before

Response from developer

Hello, Thank you for the feedback. We've identified the issue with staying permanently logged in and have fixed this in the latest app update so you don't need to keep signing in. We are also working to improve the iPad layout and experience.

Love the new SONU 2.0 version

I love how the new SONU app is designed. It’s too smooth and simple to use.

FAQ

What does the Sonu app do?

The Sonu app provides personalized, drug-free acoustic resonance therapy to alleviate symptoms of nasal congestion caused by allergic and non-allergic rhinitis. It utilizes AI and facial scanning to tailor treatment sessions delivered through a separate wearable band.

How does the app personalize therapy?

The app takes a scan of your face using the front-facing camera. It then personalizes the acoustic therapy based on your facial anatomy and other proprietary factors to create a unique treatment session for you.

What are the requirements to use the Sonu app?

To use the Sonu app, you will need an iPhone X or later model. The app connects to the Sonu band, a wearable headband purchased separately, via Bluetooth to deliver the acoustic resonance therapy.

How is the therapy delivered?

The acoustic resonance therapy is delivered via medical-grade bone conduction transducers integrated into the Sonu band, which is a lightweight, wearable headband. The app guides you through a 15-minute treatment session.

Can I track my treatment history?

Yes, the Sonu app maintains a history of your treatment sessions. This allows you to track your usage over time and monitor your progress with the therapy.
