Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT at 4.7 against MINI RECORD's 2.9. DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MINI RECORD sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 33 and 44 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of MINI RECORD's written reviews are positive against 60% of DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
MINI RECORD ships an update monthly, DAY OFF by ALLDAY PROJECT every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
