Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Dial at 4.7 against FST's 4.1. Dial also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). FST's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FST sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Dial sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
