Great app but have some questions.
My only question is why does the app have suddenly workouts every single week? I was taught that to allow for progressive overload you have to stick with a set plan and track the numbers throughout the weeks.
Legit app
Bugs and needs to be more user friendly
Grate workout routine but app need lots of improvement
1. The app is excessively priced. Considering the cost, it mainly offers instructional videos. Comparable apps are available for $10 a month, providing significantly more features.
2. The app lacks crucial functionality for logging workout sets and weights, which is essential for tracking progress.
3. The cancel button in videos is too small. It took me a while to realize that it was even there.
4. During workouts, I prefer to listen to my music without constant video guidance for every set. I'd like the option to watch a video only when I need a reference.
I was initially open to the $25/month price tag but find it unjustified given these drawbacks. It's not worth it for me at the moment.
Great training, bad app
each program only last 8 weeks, you can't continue.
each week it's a different set of exercise making progressive overload difficult to track. it's even harder when the app is supposed to track all the weights you put in but it doesn't. the programs also slowly shifts you from beginner using machine to free weights. but without an option to continue, you are reset to beginner phase every 2 months.
When the app resets you are going back to machines but a lot of the machines isn't available in every gym. There is no alternative whatsoever. Like the meal plan which is just cut or bulk.
even the meal plan is glitched bc when I chose cutting plan, after 2400 Cal for 2 weeks it suddenly jumpped to 3700 Cal. which felt more like the app ran put of meal recipes and starts pulling from the bulking recipes. you also only have 1 option to choose from which is 3 meals per day.
the red text on a grey background gives no contrast makes it soooo hard to see as well. It's not worth the subscription fee. I'd pay at most 9.99 a month if they fix all the issues. For the price they are charging, you'd expect a fully developed and polished app, but if you take out Hany's training videos, this app is would have absolutely no value whatsoever
Poorly designed app
Why do you have to watch a video of how to do each exercise after every set?!
Also, you can’t change the unit of measure to KG from llb. TBH, the fst7 workout on the BodyFit app is much better to work with.
Definitely not paying circa £30 a month for this!
Must pay
Should be much easier than this
Is there not a way to fix things without making things so labor intensive and confusing for the consumer? I’m very comfortable with technology. This seems like a poor system to me. I’ve been continually inconvenienced and it makes me not even want the app now and I was willing to pay at one point.
Phenomenal program
Worst
Too slow
good, almost perfect
here are some pro and cons:
Pro-1. It is more gym friendly, exercises are mostly free weight or with machines that every gym has, making it much more flexible than other apps that require special machines only crazy big gyms have.
2. it's a 7 day schedule instead of 8 day schedule so your weeks are more consistent and easier to make plans with friends and family.
3. it can create a whole meal plan for you with all the food, ingredients, and recipes without you looking up each item and adding it to ur meal prep list. you have a bulk plan and a cut plan.
4. each exercise video has audio explaining what you should do, making it sooo much for effective than a mute video with text descriptions.
5. you can set a goal weight and meal plan adjusts based on your current and goal weight
Cons-1. meals are only 3 meals a day, you can break it up into more. not sure if it's a development flaw or intentional.
2. when you update weight for 1 set, the weight for the whole exercise changes.
3. while the audio from the exercise video keeps playing while your phone is in sleep mode, the timer does not keep counting, so you need your own timer or be on the app the whole time
4. when you exercise, you can't see the overview of the workout, you only see a video.
5. there is no replacement exercise, I already know there's a machine my gym doesn't have for leg day but there's no alternative.
suggestions:
1. having a few more meal plan option different number of meals and maintenance option available making the app more flexible for more users.
2. while theres a 14 day free trial, you get charged the second you start your free trial. that's risky, can end up in a lawsuit, need to fix it so that money isn't charged till free trial ends.
3. instead of a full screen video when starting exercise, make the video on top, and put the list of sets and reps below for the exercise in progress and make the weight of each set independent from one another.
4. instead of community, a FAQ section would be better. answering some commonly asked questions like why only 3 meals a day lol
5. allow day to day weight track and have meal plan automatically update based on new weight. maybe not everyday but if im 180 when I started, and I lose 10 lbs of waterweight by end of week, it would be more helpful for app to decide if any adjustment to nutrition is needed.
overall, great app, I think I will stick to this app.
