Meltek is a free service that rewards you for using less electricity during certain hours when energy is in high demand, and the power grid is under strain. Use your energy savings for cash, gift card rewards, charity donations, planting trees, or buying carbon offsets. – SAVE ENERGY, MAKE MONEY, HELP OUR PLANET! – Many electric utilities do not generate their own power. The cost of providing electricity can skyrocket during peak demand events, such as on the hottest summer days. Utilities, through Meltek, prefer paying you to reduce usage instead of risking blackouts. Join Meltek to reduce energy use, make money, and even help the planet. How It Works 1. Sign Up - Register with your electric utility info. Meltek tracks your energy usage and rewards reductions. Currently, we serve residents who use Con Edison, PSEG Long Island, Orange & Rockland or Rockland Electric Company as their electric provider. 2. Get Alerts - Receive alerts about energy-saving events in advance via app notifications, emails, or texts. This is your chance to earn by using less energy. 3. Reduce Usage - Before and during events, pre-cool your home, switch off lights, unplug devices, or delay using large appliances. The more you save, the more you make. 4. Get Rewards - Get paid by Meltek quickly* after each event. Transfer savings directly to your bank through Stripe. Or redeem them - the choice is up to you!
