Interval Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Interval Timer has 19K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Boxing Timer's written reviews are positive against 73% of Interval Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Boxing Timer ships an update every 2 months, Interval Timer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
