Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: DroneMobile at 4.8 against FortiTrak's 4.0. DroneMobile also leads on ratings volume (28K vs 8). FortiTrak's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 38%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
DroneMobile holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DroneMobile has 28K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of DroneMobile's written reviews are positive against 80% of FortiTrak's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
