Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: KoolerIce at 75% against Verizon One Talk's 15%. KoolerIce also leads on chart position (#73 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Verizon One Talk's advantage is price (Free vs $19.99) and rating (4.4 vs 2.0). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Verizon One Talk is free to download; KoolerIce costs $19.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Verizon One Talk holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Verizon One Talk has 18K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of KoolerIce's written reviews are positive against 15% of Verizon One Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
KoolerIce ships an update every 6 months, Verizon One Talk every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
