Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: Wahoo at 4.7 against Cadence's 3.5. Wahoo also leads on ratings volume (43K vs 22) and device support (3 vs 1). Cadence's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 43%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Wahoo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Cadence sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Wahoo holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wahoo has 43K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Wahoo's written reviews are positive against 62% of Cadence's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
