About

Confront

Features

Confront is a daily journal for your goals and values, built on Objectivism. Each morning Confront asks what one thing you will finish today, which of your values it serves, and what will get in the way. At night it asks whether you did it, whether the obstacle turned up, and what you refused to look at. Every week, month and year gets a review that reads those days back. HOW IT WORKS - Morning: one outcome, the value it serves, and an if-then plan for the obstacle. Free, every day. - Midday: are you working on the outcome you set this morning? - Evening: did the obstacle turn up, did you follow your own rule, and what did you avoid? - Weekly review: what got done, what did not, and whether the fault was the plan or you. Then next week's three outcomes. - Monthly and annual reviews: what got done, what did not, what to drop, and the strategy for the next one. Each value you name keeps a count of the days that served it, so you can see which parts of your life are getting your hours. Set targets for your goals, choose daily actions and record results. Values, goals and actions are free. LIFE HORIZON Choose a lifespan for planning. See days, weeks, months or years remaining, with one cell for each 1% lived and a countdown to the next percentage point. The in-app tracker is free. This is a planning estimate based on the lifespan you choose. THE IDEAS BEHIND IT - 86 concepts from Objectivism, each written out in plain English - 12 collections, including The First Thirty Days: one concept a day, with a question to act on - Quotes from Ayn Rand and Aristotle, each with its book, its year and who says the line - 19 comparison sessions that set the philosophy next to Stoicism, Kant, Marx, Nietzsche, effective altruism and the wellness industry WHERE YOUR WRITING LIVES There is no account and no sign-in. Every answer is saved on your iPhone, and Profile exports the whole journal as a file you keep. One feature is the exception, and it is off until you turn it on: the mentor sends the day you ask about to an AI service to write its reply. Device backups follow your Apple settings; cross-device journal sync is not included. FREE AND PAID Free: the morning check-in, values, goals and actions, the life horizon and 1% tracker, weekly, monthly and annual reviews, all 86 concepts, three collections, the quote of the day and the export. A subscription opens home-screen widgets, the midday and evening check-ins every day, all 12 collections, all 19 comparison sessions, the optional AI mentor, your own questions, the journal past 30 days, accent colours and biometric lock. Confront Yearly: $39.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Confront Monthly: $6.99 a month. Confront for Life: $99.99, a single purchase that does not renew. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel it in your App Store account settings. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Confront at 100% against Wahoo's 43%. Confront also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Wahoo's advantage is ratings volume (43K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Confront holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of Wahoo's written reviews are positive against 100% of Confront's.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Wahoo ships an update fortnightly, Confront every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
