Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Bonhams at none against Auctionet's shown. Bonhams also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (149 vs 13). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Auctionet holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bonhams has 149 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 19% and 18% positive.
Bonhams ships an update monthly, Auctionet every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
