A few months ago I had my right arm injured. The doctor recommended several exercises as part of the treatment. They were like "do this for 15 seconds, 10 times". And quite often I got distracted and lost the count. What a iOS developer can do? Write an app, of course! So here you are: an app for repetitive, timed activities.

Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Interval Timer at 4.5 against Simple Repeat Timer's 3.7. Interval Timer also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (19K vs 13). Simple Repeat Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 13.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Interval Timer ships an update every 9 days, Simple Repeat Timer every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and June 8, 2026 respectively.
